Great for keeping mash potatoes or rice warm. The design is what is just right. I have used Faberware products for years and i prefer the stainless steel collection. I was glad to dind this specific product.

happy that a double boiler is still available in the stainless series, but i was hoping it would be in the original 2.5 quart or larger size as having more bottom surface area was better. sadly, my 2.5 quart melted in our house fire.

This double boiler is great! Non-metal handles are key! Great size. Durable. Very durable. (The older one has been in use for over 20 years!) It’s affordable too.
