Waste of money!

Bought this to use in my boutique a year ago. While it is amazing when it is working, it is more of a fight to get it to function properly. My regular printer would be way quicker than this. The labels are really high and every time I go to ship 10-15 packages anywhere from 6-15 labels get wasted. I spend more time resetting it than anything.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Printer does not work

Stay away from this printer. This printer can not print labels, it rarely works, and overall a waste of time and money.

Awesome if it had worked!

This labelwriter, as all Dymo products, has failed me exactly at the moment I just needed a product that does what it is supposed to. I keep buying Dymo products, and they keep failing, and I keep buying them thinking this is a reputable and respectable company whose products must be under constant improvement and development. I seem to be wrong.

Useless Printer !!!!

I was having issues from day 1 with this Printer. It shoots labels like a mad one or the drivers won't install on mac. The new update you have Mac 8.7.4 it is breathtakingly idiotic. I have been trying to add the drivers and I fail every time. I have used all sorts of remedies found online & still of no use.

Issue with excessive feeding may be connected to the use of 3rd party labels or improper insertion of the labels to the printer. Time Waster

We have had a Dymo LabelWriter 4XL for a couple of years and when it works, it's great. But anytime it decides to disconnect, to go offline, or to waste label after label, you can literally do nothing about it. Like many of the reviews on here, you waste so much time trying to uninstall, then install the software, and then boom still nothing works so you do it again and again, and just hope something works and hopefully 2 hours later you've fixed it. Our company has wasted so many hours trying to get it to connect and work that we're about ready to smash it to pieces since nothing that Dymo tells you to do works, you're literally just hoping that THIS time following the directions works. We're not incapable people, we follow the directions and know how to trouble shoot stuff, it's just not a good product. We'll be replacing this printer with a non-dymo printer as soon as we can.

You can try unplugging device from PC and power supply; remove labels; plug power supply back and check if blue light is blinking; then insert labels and try feeding 1 labels. After that please got to Control Panel > Device and Printers and clear all printing queue of the device, right click and remove device; then connect the device back to PC and look for your device on the list. We are happy to assist in resolving all issues with any of our products. worked good the first month now a paper weight

This worked wonderful for the first month. since then it wastes blank labels, stops midway through the next label and never at the end of the previous label. it won't take the blank labels half the time. I can find a lot better ways to waste my money.

Based on what you have described I recommend feeding a cleaning card (or business card saturated with rubbing alcohol) through your printer about 5-6 times. This should resolve your printing problems. I have the 4XL, it's so finicky and inconsistent, it causes nothing but problems and it's wastes a ton of labels! When it works, it's good but then it quickly fails! The labels jam easily even though they're the real Demo recommended labels and the machine feeds out excess labels after a print.
