Good printer...when it works.

Good printer...when it works.
The LabelWriter 4XL randomly has problems. Either it will spit out and waste a bunch of labels or not work at all. Then other times it will work perfectly fine. This drives me nuts and I end up wasting time trouble shooting this thing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Works great!

I have been using the 4XL for about 5 years. Works great, easy to use. Easy setup and affordable replacement 4x6 labels. No complaints. I print a few labels per day. Not sure how this compares to other printers but I've never had to check.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Worst labels on the market

The label maker is great, the labels themselves are the worst on the market. I now have the 5xl which forces you to use the dymo labels. Why are you forcing people to use a horrible product?

Bad design

TERRIBLE! THE ABSOLUTE WORST PRODUCT ON THE MARKET

This is the biggest piece of trash in the industry. When you can get it to work with anything it'll print from, other than the DYMO software, it'll use four sheets to one actual print and then tear the roll when you try to reverse it back into the machine. This is the biggest waste of money in the market! DYMO Should be ashamed of its design and functionality... I've used it a total of three times since I bought it, because I needed a 4x6 sticky label for our e-com. store and it used the entire roll of labels from DYMO (Not the factory pack, the actual DYMO replacement pack - and they are severely overpriced as well.) THIS IS A WASTE OF MONEY. IF THEY'D GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK, I'D GLADLY TAKE IT AND GO BUY SOMETHING THAT WORKS WITH FED EX AND UPS! We're going to take this thing out back, set it on fire, and then smash it together as a team. That is the only satisfaction anyone will get out of this overpriced piece of garbage.

We recommend you clean the print head and roller by feeding a business card with alcohol on it in order to stop the excessive feeding that was the cause of the issue. Perfect for small business

I've had this printer for years now, printing thousands of labels and it's doing great! Easy to load labels, prints without jams. I'm totally satisfied. So worth the investment.

Not ideal for Mac

This is unreliable with use of Mac computer. Every time there is a mac software update, the printer stops working.

Kindly check on our website(Compatibility Chart) before updating the Operating System to see whether it is it is supported yet.
We also recommend installing the correct software, once the Operating System has been updated and making sure the printer is not connected during the update of either the Operating System or the Software.

I love it - NEVER HAVE ISSUES AND IT PRINTS INDEFINITELY NO INK
