I have used this product for at least 18 years. I had started to experience a lot of pain from using a regular mouse. I researched, found this type. It seemed logical because humans have opposable thumbs. I never suffered from mousing pain again. I have had to replace one time. I "mouse" alot, at work and at home, doing some pretty tedious work and art/photo stuff. I recommend this product to many friends and especially co-workers, as my occupation is computer "help desk" and website maintenance.

I love the comfort of this mouse but I'm on my third one and they all eventually get issues. The first two just started right clicking all the time even though I'm not clicking on anything and there's just no way to be able to work while it's right clicking all of the time. Now my current one has started an issue where when I left click it's like I'm double clicking so rather than selecting the email it opens the email in a new window. I still had an old one so I tried that but it still had the right click issue but wouldn't open emails on one click. It's getting really frustrating to have to continually replace my mouse.

Finally a mouse I can use

I suffer from Dupuytren Contractures which can cause the fingers to curl inward. About a year ago, I lost the ability to control a traditional mouse (regardless of size or wheel/button configuration). After hearing about 3Ms Ergonomic Mouse products, I drove around town until I had a chance to examine each. Wireless is highly recommended. I then settled on this smaller wireless version (EM550GPS) because of my hand size. After having successfully used this device for about 8-months, I purchased a second one as backup. I am completely satisfied.

Purchased 6 yrs ago, broke USB after 3 years and 3M sent another USB replacement for free. Helped my elbow issues, work on computer several hours daily. Ready to purchase my 2nd one, never expected the 1st to last this long.

I was experiencing pain in the joint of my right index finger and the quest for an ergonomic mouse began. After 3 purchases, one quite expensive, I found this one. I am so thankful I did. Within a couple weeks my pain was gone. The muscle that controls the thumb is bigger and can tolerate the continuous clicking I had to do in my job. A slight learning curve at the beginning, but I could not be happier.

Have been using it for years, takes a few days to get used to. But should be a medical device it worked so well at eliminating pain caused by standard mouse.

Thumb strain and how to resolve

I tried several other ergo mice, but this one worked best for me. I've been using one of these for about 6 months now. I had one problem that I needed to find a creative solution for, but once I did, I've been very happy. The problem has to do with the thumb position. I tried both sizes, but still had an issue. With my hand on the stick, my natural thumb position was about an inch off to the side of the thumb buttons (away from the side where my hand rests). I had to constantly pull my thumb to the side toward the stick to use the thumb buttons. This caused discomfort in my thumb after a while. The fix was pretty easy (if not pretty). I got some adhesive weather stripping and used it to construct a pad/spacer on the stick to effectively make the stick fatter on the side away from where my thumb naturally fell. I used several strips and sculpted it a bit to make it a perfect fit to my hand. Now when I grab the stick, my thumb naturally rests right on top of the thumb buttons.The padding extends down to the base and also toward my wrist a bit to fully define my desired hand position. Almost perfect! There is one slight downside to my customizing, and that is that the reach to get to third button lower down on the side of the stick is a bit more of a reach, but that's OK because I don't use it all that often. Without my custom fit modifications, I would not use this mouse due to the thumb positioning issue. With my custom fit modifications, I love it!

Good Mouse

This is a good mouse. I've had it for a year and it's great for my hands. But it stopped working, When I turn on the mouse, the red light on the mouse goes on but instead of a green light, I get a red light on the USB receiver.
