Good for carpal tunnel, but...

I had horrible carpal tunnel and was seriously considering surgery before I received this mouse. Great for ergonomics, but I am having trouble with sensitivity. Either that or the infrared is not tracking correctly. Is ther a drive specifically for this mouse?

Perfect Mouse

I switched to this mouse about 7 years ago, when I developed a pain in my wrist. I discovered the pain resulted from moving the mouse with my wrist my instead of moving it with my elbow and shoulder. Despite trying I could not change this habit with the conventional mouse - so I changed my mouse to the 3M Ergo mouse. It took a day or 2 to adjust, and because I had to learn to use this mouse from scratch I also learned to move it with a combination of elbow and shoulder movement. I have never looked back and the pain in my wrist disappeared. A wonderful device which I would recommend to anyone.

Great design. Mouse 2.0 coming soon?

I have been using this mouse for close to 20 years. First 2 were wired, latest is wireless. Reading some of the comments about it breaking is not at all what I have experienced. I have worn out the pads, but simply purchased new ones and it continues to work. I currently use a standard mouse with my left hand since it has the scroll wheel to zoom in the Pro/Engineer program. Any change of adding one soon? Could really make it a complete mouse with that functionality.

Best Ergo mouse I have ever used!!!

I have been using this mouse ever since 3M began manufacturing it. I was privileged to get a "test" version of the product many years ago before full manufacture of the current product was available when 3M sent out the product to me for assessment and review. I am a practicing Occupational therapist and Hand Therapy specialist. When 3M sent the product to me I followed the instructions exactly, using it for two weeks exclusively. It did have a learning curve of about 2 weeks but it was worth it. Every product has it's problems but this one had the least problems ergonomically and was (is) the most comfortable ergonomic mouse I have ever used. I purchased and own 3 of them now and recommend them to everyone!

I started with a wired version of the Ergonomic Mouse. Over the years they have worn out...probably from falls...The latest round I have two wireless mice, one for home and one for the office.
I would recommend this to a friend!

scrolling doesn't work in all software

got this 2 days ago, am programming a lot but the driver does not support scrolling in Matlab. Ergonomically great, but since I program most the day this is really not useful at all.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am so happy I bought this excellent and ergonomically designed mouse, the only thing I could have wished for more is a thumb sensor for scrolling.

Best ergo mouse period!

I've been using this mouse for over 3 years. I don't know what I'll do if they ever stop making it! It has completely resolved my tennis elbow pain. A bit odd in the beginning but once you get familiar with it, it feels so natural! I will never use a regular mouse again!
