A very nice Smart TV with a 'magic' remote!

This 42" TV is wall mounted in our bedroom and provides a very nice HD picture, excellent viewing angles, and good smart TV applications. The Magic Remote is a must, the upgrade to this TV model to get the magic remote was a wise decision!
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings

Great picture (did not have to adjust any settings..used it straight from the box)
Great features.
The only suggestion is regarding the Magic Remote. Even though I have decreased the sensitivity to the lowest setting, it is still difficult to select items.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, Features/Settings, Quality

Connects to Netflix etc easily, mounted to wall easily, has been very reliable after 1 year of use. Used product support when conncetion was lost but the problem was the modem connection, not the TV.
Nice job LG.

This is our bedroom TV.
The picture is very clear, bright and sharp.
The picture refresh rate is good.
The sound is good.
Remote is easy to use.
Rear HDMI connections makes for easy hook up.
All around good TV.

Excellent Except For ONE Flaw

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Global Dimming "feature" is an absolute nightmare and is impossible to disable. There is nothing more frustrating than watching a scene that goes into a dark room and then the entire screen dims to the point of being unable to see any detail whatsoever. Search for "LG Global Dimming" and you'll see dozens of examples of this in action. If I had known beforehand about this I never would have purchased it. Unfortunately, I did not discover it until I was past the time I could return it. This TV has an otherwise excellent picture and feature set, but just be aware of the Global Dimming before you purchase an LG. If possible, watch the into to an episode of Star Trek The Next Generation and you will be able to see the problem clearly. I keep hoping that a firmware update may add the capability of disabling this major aggravation, but so far no luck.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
