R3000 Produces Pro Quality Prints

The R3000 produces excellent quality prints right out of the box. The black & white output is the best I've seen so far from a non-dedicated b/w printer. Uses a lot of ink though, so it's not for high volume printing - although a lot better print yield than the 2880 and especially the old 2200 due to larger cartridge capacity. 3880 better for that purpose, but the 3000 has a slight edge in print quality. So far, no problems with paper jams - but have not tried heavy fine art papers yet. Over all, it'd a great machine. Don't know how much more they can do to improve the print quality - but I'm sure Epson will come up with something.

I bought this printer after extensive research and a strong referral and now I can pass that recommendation on to others. I use this for art prints and have come across nothing better, especially for larger prints up to 17x11". Amazing product an so happy with my purchase.

I am a fine arts large format (8x10) B&W photographer. I have been slow in embrassing the digital world and am certainly not a computer type guy. After setting up my new printer I scanned an 8x10 contact print. I then followed the instruction for printing it on soft gloss paper. My first attemps did not work out as expected because I simply don't follow instructions well. On my next attempt I was successful and was astounded at the results. The detail, tonality, and overall quality of the print exceeded my expectations. I could not have been more impressed. While I have not had the printer long I'm confident that I will become addicted to it in no time. The only negative that I can fine is the substantial loss of ink when changing from print black to matte black, but the print quality certainly makes up for the loss. I do not hessitate to recommend the printer to those who appreciate fine image quality.

I really enjoy my Epson Stylus Photo R3000 printer, especially now that technical support has helped me adjust the paper feeder so that it no longer "jams" when the paper is one millimeter misaligned. It produces beautiful giclee prints on watercolor paper -- a high quality product from my original watercolor scans, which I can then give or sell.

The R3000 has a bunch of features that I just love. Loading roll paper and canvas is a breeze. The front load for heavier paper is awesome! The color quality is outstanding. I love the larger ink cartridges as there is a longer span between changing inks. I don't like changing the black inks for different paper types as it consumes (wastes) a lot of ink. I have found that if I do not print at least once a week the nozzles get clogged and require cleaning, which eats up the ink. This printer is very user friendly and the finished products are wonderful

High Quality Printer

I have had the printer for over two years and it has proved to be quite reliable. What I particularly like about this model compared to other Epson photo printers I have had are the following: 1) Large print cartridges; 2) Less need to clear print heads etc.; 3) Periods of limited use are handled better (e.g., less need to clear print heads); 4) Absolutely excellent quality, including black & white photos; 5) Excellent response from Epson's call center.
My only problem is trying to use canvas paper. It is very difficult to the extent I still have not been able to get good results.
Having said the above, I have no problems recommending this printer to a serious amateur photographer like myself. People can't believe I print the 11x14 photos hanging in my house on my own printer.

I graduated from the Epson 2200 to the Epson R3000 after about 9 years. The new printer is easy to set up,I love the wireless feature.I am an amature with aspirations to be professional after my new retirement coming up in December 2014. the prints are very sharp and the colors are very vivid. The only complaint is that for large prints it takes more than 2 minutes.

Amazingly Easy and Convenient

I have used my Epson 3000 for approximately one year and continue to be amazed by the outstanding results it provides. This printer was easy to set up and I began using it almost immediately. I only use Epson brand photo paper and the results have been fantastic. I can't think of any downside to this printer because I only use it for high and semi gloss photo prints. Its well constructed, uses all paper formats, and can be located almost anywhere in the room with its wireless connectivity. Thanks Epson for your attention to detail and quality.
