Awesome machine

I love this thing, I'm just really getting used to it because I've only had it 4 days now, but the draft mode is 100% better than the fine mode on my canon (which is now recycled to my dad's house), amazing color. The thing that really surprised me it how small the machine is. it fits perfectly on my shelf. I thought it would be much bigger. - don't get me wrong it is a larger machine, but its a small larger machine. If you can afford it, buy it.

Excellent print quality

A Christmas present which I have had only limited opportunity to use. Based upon the limited use, I am VERY impressed with the quality of the prints. I have printed on both glossy and matte finishes, and the products were truly professional in appearance. Be aware that this printer has a relatively large footprint and is heavy, so keep those facts in mind as you plan a location for it. Based upon my measurements, it requires about 7" of clearance in the back for the trays and at least a similar amount in the front. Compared to other similar printers, overall I would say that this is worth the money; with the initial purchase, you get a full complement of ink, not starter or sampler cartridges.

living up to expectations

Haven't encountered any issues to date. Of course, it helps when you read the directons before attempting to use a device with an extended range off capabilities.
Having read other user's stories and questions on various forums, I came to the realization that the issues discussed were operator related and not device defects and made the decision to upgrade to this device and I am very pleased with the capabilities and results.

High Quality Performance

I have only had the Epson R 3000 a short time and I,m still refining the settings; however, I'm most impressed with the "what I see on my H D monitor is what I obtain in the print. The tones are a very brightness are a very close my to the displayed image. It is a very sophisticated printer that trades off a lot of printing capability flexibility with a lot of settings that must be carefully selected for optimum performance. It has a sturdy solid appearance and construction. I have reason to be very optimistic about what I expect I will be able to do with it.

Hardware setup was straight forward and the printer started up as described in the instructions.
Software install went smoothly until it asked to install an update. The printer had printed a test page at the end of the first install. After installing the update, the software created an error and looped, printing nothing useable.
I reinstalled the original software and still had problems. I deleted the software completely and reinstalled.
After the last install of the software the printer worked as I expected.
It is very quiet while printing and after getting the profiles for photographic printing set correctly, it does a beautiful job.

While I do not use the 3000 a lot, when needed it comes through with flying colors. What I expected.
Took a bit to set up but now routine. The professional look.

The ease of set up and use are fantastic,the color is astounding and it uses a surprising less ink than anything i have ever owned.I would highly recommend this product.Epson has out done themselves!
