What can I say. Epson rocks. Right out of the box printed flawlessly. Set up was very easy right down to the wireless networking. First print was great but needed some adjustments. Second print and all others afterwards were perfect on the first try. Once you become familiar with the program software, you will sail through effortlessly. No joking. This printer is for any serious photographer out there who wants results the way he or she saw them before the shutter dropped.
I would recommend this to a friend!

1st impressions of R3000 Printer

Just got this printer so that I could also use roll media. I tested this printer with cut paper to see what it would do. FANTASTIC!

Six months of R 3000 experience

Speed and color reproduction is excellent.
Getting my Mac mini and the printer to convert to
Matte black ink was a real chore. You won't get
An automatic change with a change to matte paper.
The final results once I jumped through all the
Hoops was everything I had hoped for both in color
And black and white .
Complicated way to get from photo black to matte
Black ink needs improvement.

Great Printer

For a mid priced printer this one is great. Inks do not clog, even if I have not printed in a week or so. The only complaint I have is that I thought the printer was supposed to change from photo black to and from matte black on its own, but the only way I have been able to get it to switch is if I do it manually. It is pretty easy to do, but I just assumed it would know to change depending on the paper we are choosing to print on.

Review of Epson Stylus Photo R3000

I switched over to the Epson R3000 printer because it was an upgrade from the printer (other brand) that I had. I am extremely please with the R3000, and in some ways I wish I had bitten the bullet and purchased the R3880 for the extra size I could print.

Great printer

I bought the printer primarily to use Epson Exhibition Fiber Paper for both color an B&W printing. Prints exactly as I ad hoped it would. It was easy to closely match my monitor for neutral B&W prints. Speed is fine. The paper is similar in surface to glossy air dried B&W paper but comes out perfectly flat which makes mounting a breeze. I highly recommend the printer for this use.

Excellent Printer - Performance and Quality

I am quite pleased (even delighted) with the performance and quality of my refurbished R3000. The customer service from Epson has been great also. The first printer I received would not load the cartridges and it was promptly replaced with another unit that has worked very well. I would rate these features at 5 stars.
The only concern I have with the R3000 is the HIGH cost of the ink and paper. These costs would rate only one star. Because of this high cost, I do not use my printer for routine printing of photos, but reserve it for those requiring the highest quality. Give us a break - cut the price of the ink.

Epson R3000 Printer

The purchase of a 3000 was an upgrade from a 2200. While the 2200 produced fine color prints, I was not satisfied with the black and white images. The 3000 was a vast improvement and made outstanding black and white prints as well as fine color prints.
I would recommend this to a friend!
