Great printer

I look at the 2880 and the 3880, but the r3000 had the everything I needed and the rebate made it affordable. Beside after looking hard at these printers and reading the reviews I really wanted the 4900. Anyways, I have been using this printer just a few days so I can not talk about the durability, but this printer rocks the prints are great! The colors are robust and the black and white are smoking. In addition to the super photos the time it take is fast compared to other models I have had. The cost of ink is a bit high per ml the long run it around 1.15/ml vs 0.75 for the large 17 inch models. I would buy this model again or upgrade to a larger model if money was not an issue.

Epson R3000

Excellent quality print. My biggest suggestion: this printer is smart, have all your paper settings correct, or it won't go! :-)
Called Epson tech support first try, and I had luster one place and matte the other. Learned my lesson.

So easy for perfect prints

Having passed off my 2200 to my church I needed to replace it and there was no other consideration other than the 3000 or 3880. I am not a "heavy" user but certainly more than most. My past experiences with Epson products keeps me in the fold as they are virtually flawless when installed properly and calibrated. It took me all of 15 minutes to install the printer and software and begin printing accurate reproductions of the digital images. The colors are accurate, rich and precise.
The one thing I did not even pay attention to was the thicker media printing such as on cd's and hardboard. This added feature from the 2200 has proved to present professional cd's and marketing materials that before I had to have done at outside sources; saving time and money!

The R3000 goes beyond what I expected! I read alot of reviews before I purchased . My first print.. color is spectacular, easy to program, values of the prints are spot on to my design and speed is great. This printer is perfect for reprints of my digital photography. Exhibiton quality! This has been a terrific buy!

Epson Stylus Photo R3000 Inkjet Printer

Prior to this R3000 I owned (and loved) the Epson R2880 printer for about 2 years. It was flawless in its end results, but the limitations of its ink cartridge size and the need to manually exchange black inks based on the paper type to be printed on wore thin over time. The R3000 includes all of the 2880's quality attributes (if not better!) with the added convenience of double-sized ink reservoirs and automatic ink swapping when going to/from matte paper.
Although I didn't think much about it at the time of purchase, the wireless capability of the R3000 has made using and storing it a pleasure. No longer to I have to swamp my computer area with a tethered printer. I can place the printer on the other side of the room near a power supply and my paper stash freeing my computer area for other chores.
I love this printer!!

operation

The quality of the out put is out standing. Operation is not particularly user friendly. The requirement of different blacks for different papers is cumbersome and should have been addressed in the driver software.

Perfect printer

I have been using Epson wide-format printers for years; starting with Epson Photo Stylus 1400 and recently upgrading to an Epson Stylus Photo R 3880. Needing a second printer in another location, I purchased the Stylus Photo R3000 and couldn't be happier. It is so easy to use, with directions on how and where to load paper very clear in the printer's window. It alerts me about changing ink from matte to photo and when I've made a mistake in loading paper. I primarily use fine art matte paper and it handles various kinds easily and well. Bravo!
