Awesome printer

Very easy to setup wireless and use for your first prints. The combination of using the Epson printer drivers with my iMac and Lightroom 3 give me VERY good looking pictures that match the screen in both color and brightness of the photos.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Epson R3000

I retired my R2400 after 6 years of reliable service because it had difficulty with the new Exhibition Fiber and Hot Press Bright. Downloading the the ICC profiles was simple and the results are spectacular. My only issue is loading the fine art media, it can easily jam requiring a reload.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Epson R 3000

Easy to set up as a network printer. I was initially disappointed when I could find no premium profile available for premium luster paper and on the internet it was said that Epson did not think that it was appropriate media. However I used the canned profile in PS CS5 that came with the driver and much to my surprise the prints looked much better than my Epson R 2400 with premium profiles from Epson. If others look this good with the canned driver profiles it is a great printer.

Easy to set up. Perfect prints right out of the box. I use Epson Luster paper for both color and mono and am very pleased with the results.

First opinions R3000

Package was well packed for shipment. Installation was very fast and without issue.
First prints out of the R3000 using Epson matt presentation paper were impressive for the sharpness and depth of tonal range.
I'm looking forward to using the different media types which my Epson 1280 would not support.

Epson Stylus Photo R 3000

Great! Most of my printing has been black and white in a wet darkroom, but recently added the R 3000 for color work. I am pleased with the results that I have gotten so far. The color looks outstanding. Haven`t yet tried BW. I used the Epson tech. support once and received great help. I received an e-mail from Epson saying that a 10% discount on purchases was being offered to me re. the purchase of the R 3000. I attempted to purchase printing paper but the Epson web site refused to accept my e-mail address.???

I've been using an Epson 2200 for years and decided to upgrade - the old 2200 was still working just fine.
Installation and setup went just fine - no problems. I installed a profile from Ilford for my favorite paper - Ilford Gold Fiber Silk - and got good color matching from the first print!
Very good initial impression - looking forward to exploring the potential of this printer.
