printer performance is great overall. It's sometimes hard to find all the settings you want depending on the application you're using. Epson could provide better drivers that allow access to all parameters needed when printing.

Printer arrived last night. Set it up in less than an hour today, and I'm a technologically challenged old man. It was really easy. Bought it because I want good black and white prints. Have made 2 so far and they are excellent. Color print also excellent. I'm a happy guy.

After extensive research and reading other reviews I chose this printer and I'm not disappointed. The ability to connect via Wi-Fi was very important to me and the $150 rebate was an added incentive. It is a very sturdy well constructed and a very quiet printer, so quite you don't even know it is running. Setup was fast and easy.
I have used the Epson R3000 for a few weeks and a few dozen photos, it was easy to install and although the printer settings can easily be tweaked, the default settings work very well right out of the box. The quality in the color of my printed photographs is the best of any printer I've ever owned.
I love the ability to change from photo black to matte black. The only thing that chaps me about this printer is the amount of ink that gets lost due to switching from matte black to photo black or vice versa considering the high cost of the R3000 ink cartridges.
I am very happy with this purchase. It is a great printer and I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in a printer that prints very high quality photos.

As a professional photographer the Epson R3000 gives me top quality prints. I am more than satisfied with this printer. It replaces a Stylus 2400 that I had for ten years and finally wore out. Best printer I have ever owned.

Stylus Photo R3000– Perfect color at last!

My new Stylus Photo R3000 gives me perfect, manageable, repeatable color results every time. After creating a profile to match the printer to my calibrated display, the R3000 produces fine art prints that faithfully deliver what I see in Photoshop. The K3 inks accurately reproduce the full range of colors from the most subtle to the most vivid, and I have been able to produce exhibition quality toned black-and-white prints without difficulty. I would love to see higher capacity ink cartridges for this printer.

Easy set-up and the nine ink cartridges give vibrant colors. You don't need another photo printer--- this is the real deal!!!

good photo printer but a bit slow. large use of ink when switching. A bit confusing on which black to use as the instructions list the common papers for both black inks. Have to experiment to print true colors.

Just received my new Epson R3000 printer to replace my 2200. The new printer makes th old one a dinosaur in every way. From the first print the image quality is magical. I can't wait to put it to the b and w test.
