R3000

I am a professional photographer and I upgraded to the 3000 to get the better print head (from an R1900) The quality has been outstanding for my photo work. I also use my 3000 for my business communications and it performs flawlwessly.

The vividness and lifelike clarity of the photo prints produced by this printer are mind boggling - far sharper than typical film. The gamut of media supported allows for wonderful creativity at home.

I PURCHASED THE R3000 PRINTER AND AM VERY PLEASED WITH THE RESULTS I HAVE MY OWN PHOTO SHOP AND PRINT ALL MY WORK AND THIS PRINTER IS FAR BETTER THAN HP EVER WAS.

I couldn't be more delighted with the print quality
and the ease of use, now that I know how. I don't
feel excited about the prospect of making a print

Easy to set up. Took it out of the box and plugged it in. Quiet. Ink levels visible on front of printer.

Epson Stylus Photo R3000 Printer

I previously had an Epson 2200 Printer which gave me 12 years of service. I find the R3000 replacement to be quieter. The color photos are excellent. I do have to learn how to print on plain paper as a default setting.

i have been using this printer for about a month now. i previously had the 1900.
i am much happier with the pictures im printing as they more closely match the image im seeing on my monitor. the colors are more real and crisp
the printing takes longer but its worth the wait

Most frustrating printer ever

I feel like I have to troubleshoot this printer every week. I only buy epson ink, but half the time it doesn't like it. I change them before they are low (which isn't cheap). The photo black likes to give me errors that it doesn't recognize the ink tank...not the cartridge though because I have changed out brand new ones to try and get the error to go away. The matte black likes to give me green casts in my black and white prints (in the dark shadows). It's terrible...an expensive piece of plastic. I've had lots of printers in my career, and this one has been the worst. Not sure if I got a lemon or what, but very disappointing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
