My previous printer (NOT Epson), made terrific prints, but was frustrating to use for many reasons. The R3000 delivers exactly what it promises, and has a progress dialog box so you know what's going on at all times. And, the resulting prints are beautiful. It would be nice if it had a separate head for the photo black ink, so you don't have to switch, but I don't make many glossy prints so it's really not an issue. I think you have a winner, and I would recommend it.

I chose this printer as a result of reading other reviews and have not been disappointed. The setup was fairly simple and straightforward. The ability to connect via WiFi is a plus. More importantly, the colors of my photographs are the best of any printer I've used to date.

Print Quality

Outstanding print quality, particularly Advanced Black & White using Signature Worthy papers. Early days but already I'm rethinking how to capture 'raw' images that, once processed in Lightroom 3, optimise the print system.
Surprised how quickly the supplied inks (9) got used up: initial settings and not enough thought from me. Now re-ordering inks and, as a home user on a budget, thinking hard on how to be more efficient, workflow organisation.

I was a satisfied user of the Epson Stylus Photo 1400 printer for several years. I've decided to upgrade to the R3000 version recently and I am not regretting to do that. The UltraChrome K3 pigment ink delivers amazing black & white prints. I am using it mostly for printing panoramas. I could recommend this printer to anybody who wants excellent tonality and scale.
I am a happy user :-). Thanks Epson!

I have used this printer for 4 months and it has produced very good prints. It prints Adobe RGB or SRGB. The ink has lasted through more prints than I thought they would. Everyone that has viewed the prints made with this printer has commented on the quality.

I have owned many Epson printers over the years and my last photo printer was a R1900 which did a great job. I was looking for more and wow did I get it. The R3000 is everything I wanted in a printer and then some. Sure, as with anything like this, you always would like to see just a little more. In this case, buy a R3880. I'm satisfied with what the R3000 does and I'd recommend it to any photographer that likes to print their best shots.

Excellent printer

Quick to install (USB) photo's came out great, perfect color match. I printed 12x12 with perfection, my other printer which I replaced with the Epson, did not print 12x12.(digital scrapbooking) My other printer did a real good jog on the 13x19's but I feel the Epson is a better match for color matching of original photo's. I would recomend this printer to any professional or amature photographer. My friends think I take my photo's to a professional for developing, some day I'll tell them the truth! The big foot I read about in other review's exagerated, it is not as big as some printer's that are compariable.

I've had an R1800 for years that replaced an R2200. Despite regularly calibrating my Eizo monitor and trying every CS6 and camera setting available, I was seldom happy with image vs. print results.
I installed the R3000, let CS6 control color and got near perfect matching. I don't even have to adjust brightness for printing. What a pleasure! Now, I can't stop making reprints to replace old favorites.
