I needed to get myself organized with a new calendar system that I could carry with me everywhere I went; I also needed to be able to record interviews and take photos of the interviewees for a newsletter that I edit.
This was the definitive solution.
The only problem is: seriously: DO NOT play Angry Birds while driving, even "only when stopped in stop-and-go traffic." You will need a new front bumper.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Lightweight, it's a very good listener
I have a first generation Galaxy Note 10" that I love but I had no idea how much better the graphics could be - they are just amazing on this new Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4.
On top of this, the multi screen feature is pretty sweet. It takes some getting used to because it is different than what we think of as having multiple screens open on a desktop computer.
So, the graphics and presentation are 1,000 fold better - what about performance? The battery has a much longer life. The programs run much easier and perform faster with none of the jerkiness you see in apps heavy with graphics on the earlier tablets.
All in all, this baby is so much better than it's earlier versions - and the price is still pretty good - I do wish the larger tablets were not quite so pricey (this is why I went with an 8.4 instead of a 10.1 2014 edition).
Granted, this is my first Android device of ANY kind. But I am impressed with the features and quality of this tablet. The display is incredible. And the performance seems very good. At times I have to wait a few seconds, but then I am accustomed to a high end desktop computer.
The size and weight are perfect for travel or running around town. The Wi-Fi and apps result in a very versatile tablet!
i had the tab 3 and was impress with the features and the performance so i upgrades to the pro the little bit more for the features and the extra power of the unit.
The tab 3 truly is a great product. It's price is reasonable when compared to other high-end tablets, but what sets it aside from the rest are the features and display quality exclusive to samsung. As far as features, having two apps on screen at the same time is great for school, allowing the user to have a note application running alongside a web browser for clarification of terms used in say a lecture, if needed. Moreover the tablet is a beast as far as processing goes. In map applications the rate at which the device renders locations and even 3D cities surpasses anything short of a desktop, especially with power saving mode turned off. Furthermore, the display alone is an outstanding piece of hardware. After using it, trying to go back to my phone screen was depressing; the pixel density of this thing is unreal and if you couple that with the way samsung makes colors pop everything else becomes obsolete. My only complaint with this product is the button placement. When being held in landscape orientation hitting the volume or lock buttons happens far too frequently making for a frustrating experience while watching videos but all in all, I feel strongly that this is the best tablet in its respective field of the market.
I purchased the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 tablet in response to the need of a fast, light and manageable system that could get the majority of my computing needs done. After investigating and studying other brands, I decided on going with the PRO class tablet. Do not underestimate its size this tablet is a powerhouse system which I would put up against any competition tablet in its class and win. Its close likeness to the Note 3 is what really appeals to me but its computing power, versatility and manageability is in a class by itself. Samsung has really outdone itself with the PRO class.
