Came from an iPad and let me just say I will never go back. The tablet has so many features that I am still learning about today. I wish it had a snap drag 801 but If I could buy another tablet tomorrow, I would still choose this tablet.
I've been a satisfied user of a 2013 Nexus 7 tablet, but old age has apparently caught up to me a bit, as reading on that 7" display has gotten a little tricky. That sent me looking for something a little bigger, still small enough to be easily portable, but large enough to be easier to read.
Luckily, Samsung makes exactly what I'm looking for. The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is a significant increase in screen size, yet in a form factor that barely seems larger than the Nexus 7. I sacrifice almost nothing in portability, for a major increase in display quality. That's a win.
I'm trying to be objective, but it's tough to come up with any negatives. Touchwiz will lag just slightly from time to time. The Magazine UX app is a great idea, but not quite polished yet. Battery life is good, but not amazing. Aside from that, it's pretty much all positive. Even the negatives aren't very negative.
The display is phenomenal, vibrant, bright, and easily readable. The tablet is very quick, Touchwiz hiccups aside. It's amazingly thin and light. The micro sd card slot to increase storage or transfer large files is an important feature too many tablets leave out. The faux stitched leather back didn't appeal to me as an idea, but once holding it in my hands, I really like it. It has a premium feel, and makes the tablet less slippery than most.
There are so many good tablets out there that you really have to hit every single checkmark to stand out from the crowd. Samsung has done a good job of that. This is one of the few tablets that can truly go head to head with the iPads. And for those of us who like Android, it beats them.

I am retired and wanted a tablet that had most everything. I bought the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4. It just about has it all and I did a lot of research on many other tablets. I won't need all that it has but, it's there if I do. Clear picture, fast, easy to use. Very good deal. I love this tablet
I love this tablet, but I'm gonna start with the down side. If you use auto brightness AND the power saving mode, the screen gets so dark that you can barely see it. It's one or the other if you want comfortable viewing.
This tablet is the perfect size for everyday use. It's portable, yet large enough to perform a diverse array of tasks. The screen is crisp and ultra responsive. It comes with a suite of perks that are worth the purchase by themselves. I would recommend this to everyone from everyday users, like myself, to business users. It handles both types of tasks, seamlessly. I originally had a Nexus 7 and was solidly happy with it. I saw this and returned my other tablet...I have been infinitely glad I have ever since.
Pros: Lightweight, powerful, versatile, software suite
I would highly recommend this to a friend. It is packed with powerful features. It has everything any other tablet should have, but doesn't. It can be a little laggy at times, but it isn't terrible.
I have been blown away by the screen resolution and performance since Day 1. The speaker location on the bottom is cumbersome when watching videos in landscape but other than that I wouldn't change a single thing! Best tablet on the market under 10 inches.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, high performance
