We appreciate your posting. We can help! We recommend washing the mop pads on gentle cycle with mild detergent. Air dry the mop pads. Also, it's best to use distilled water in your Symphony. You may want to try a filter, which can be ordered at this link: http://www.bissell.com/parts/?sc=part&productid=31706&partid=32377 Another option is scented Freshening discs. I have 2 dogs and a long haired cat and I have to say that this is the best product I have bought. It takes me half the time to clean the kitchen and bathroom floors because I am vacuuming and steaming at the same time. I was a little skeptical about it but it does work. Thank you Bissell.

Mop cloth is so thick that you won't be able to push it unless you can bench atleast 350 at the gym

This steam mop is almost perfect

I love my steam mop vacuum it saves a step by not sweeping/vacuuming first. The vacuum on the mop works very well. I like that I don't use chemicals while mopping. What I do to leave a clean fresh scent after mopping is drop several drops of my favorite essential oils on the microfiber pad before mopping. I've tried several, my favorites are Lavender and Jasmine. The mop is sturdy, I have had mine for a few years and have had no issues with it. I bought extra microfiber pads so that I could use a new one in each room. Where I live tends to get very dusty, and I have to use it a couple of times a week. I highly recommend this steam vac.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I had the red symphony, loved it so much I bought them as gifts for my daughters. Then mine stopped steaming. I bought the blue symphony, loved it, then it stopped steaming. Only used distilled water, no pets, we are a retired couple and use it once a week. Both machines looked brand new, no clogs, etc. It's just broke...again.
