I read the reviews, watched the online videos (how to's) and went and bought it! Best thing ever! vacuums and cleans! My cermanic tile was dirty! We have 3 dogs and live in the country. It took a little bit to get it done-but only because it was so bad! Best investment ever! We are adding on and putting in hardwood floors. I will be ready! We bought the 3 yr warranty plan. Thanks Bissell!!

Why make something better, when you can make it cheaper?

This machine replaced an older version of the Symphony. The original one only lasted 3 1/2 years. The new one is much more cheaply made and probably will not last as long as the original. I wish companies would made better, longer lasting products instead of cheaply made, disposable ones.

The steam is very poor, I look at all the troubleshoot problems and all the parts are installed correctly. I want to vacuum and clean my hardwood floors more easily and efficient but the poor steam makes it really hard to clean and leaves marks every where. The vacuum part has a very poor suction comparable to one of the very ship cordless vacuums.

Thanks for your posting. Make sure your hardwood floors are sealed and if possible it's recommended to contact the manufacture of your flooring to ensure steam can be used to clean. It's good you checked all parts to make sure everything was connect properly, because this would affect the low suction as well. The filter needs to be clean and cleaning the spray port would be a good idea also. If you remove the mop pad and tray off stick a paper clip in the spray port and ream the sides. As always use water only, distilled water works best.

We bought the Bissell Symphony for our new home. We have bamboo floors throughout. We have 3 children who make a mess but I didn't want to use toxic cleaning solution. This is perfect. It cleans the floors to perfection with just water. I previously purchased and returned the Shark steamer, it doesn't compare to the Bissell. I highly recommend it!

Clogs and stops working

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this vacuum/mop combo as I have a dog who loves the muddy outdoors. Within a week of use, it no longer vacuums anything because of constant clogging. I was hoping a pet vacuum would be able to handle a little dog hair but it does not. Honestly a waste of money sadly.

I was skeptical when I purchased this steam mop and vacuum, b ut I have to say it works great. The head of the vacuum is a little big to get into tight places, so I need to figure out another way to clean in the tight places. Otherwise this thing works great and it's easy to use.
