I have laminate flooring and tile flooring. I also have two big Rottweilers who can get into a mess! I can vacuum the hair up and mop the muddy paw prints all in one sweep! I thought for sure the hair would become a wet mess to clean out of the canister, but to my surprise the hair was totally dry and easy to dump out! The floor was cleaner than with a regular mop. My only wish is that they sell the mop heads seperately that come with it. I am keeping my eyes out so I have more replacements. Otherwise I am trying to wash and dry them daily for repeated use. HURRY UP AND BRING ON THOSE MOP HEADS~!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Best vacuum for hardwood floors. As soon as we got Symphony, we adopted a puppy who sheds a lot. We use this vacuum as vacuum only for one time and use as steam and vac one time in a day. Keeps our floors amazingly clean. Best part is, dry dirt and hair never gets wet like crosswave or other wet/dry floor cleaners. If I can wish for any improvement, I would like to have headlights on this vacuum so that we can see hair and dirt better when vacuuming in the nights. Also the biggest improvement for me would be to use the vacuum as hand held like bissell ion or something to get rid of pet hair from the furniture. Now, I use my Dyson upright for all furniture cleaning and under the furniture vacuuming before I use Symphony to vac/mop my floors.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 2 dogs, one is boxer so with pet hair, dirty paw prints, drawl, dog water, dog food and who knows what else, my kitchen floor needed cleaning constantly. I would have to sweep then set up mop bucket with 2 separate chemicals. I can honestly say this Bissell has changed my life. I'm still wrapping my head around being able to sweep and mop at the same time!!! And there's basically no dry time. I love this product and recommend it to everybody even households without pets.

God at the start, BUT

My husband and I were elated to find a vac that steam mopped and vacuumed with 2 puppies and an older dog around. The vacuum worked only if you vacuumed an area TWICE as it missed some spots. It picked up dirt in front of the machine but missed spots like dirt in a corner or on the sides. Also the dirt cup would at times come loose - need to push it up and turn the red lever all the way to the left to secure it- irritating. The steam mop part was great worked fine for several months but then started working only sometimes then totally gave out. I religiously cleaned the nozzle parts and used distilled water but it still died less than a year after purchase. Cheap product!
