As far as convenience, you cannot beat this product. Both the vacuum and mop do a much better job than their conventional methods, and they do so in a fraction of the time. I now "sweep" and mop much more often because it is so easy and quick. I have no complaints about the product in itself. Yeah, tough stains may take a few passes with the steam, the occasional scuff mark may take a little extra elbow grease, but that is to be expected. I do wish they had a few extra accessories. I would like a vacuum/mop head that was more narrow and where the vacuum sucked right from the tip. This would allow better cleaning of corners and tight areas, like in between the toilet and the wall. I would also like a head that was bent at 90 degrees and would allow me to also mop/steam clean the baseboards. I definitely endorse this product and would recommend it to family and friends. In fact, I am planning on buying one for my mother for Christmas.

I bought this with the original intent of maybe using it once or twice a month. We are retired, no kids, no pets, so the house does not get that dirty. But after using it a few times, I found I really like the clean. It has become a regular part of my clean up. I like the ease of emptying the vacuum and being able to wash the mop head cover. That said, my biggest complaint is that the switch located inside the handle breaks far too easily. The first time it happened, it took a while to figure out that was the problem. After looking around online, including YouTube, and calling a few repair shops, you can't just order a replacement switch. It is the entire handle, so if you want to make the attempt yourself, whatever it takes to remove the old handle and wire in the new one. We ended up gluing the piece back together and adding a thin metal piece to the plastic part. It works. One would think that Bissell could use a material more durable than plastic for a switch that gets as much use as these do, or utilize a different type of switch. I could wish that the replacement mop head covers were still available separately. I rarely use the heavy duty one. My stepson was looking for something to clean his floors and I told him about this steam cleaner and he went out and bought one, too!

I've written about 5 product reviews in my lifetime so this product has to be unbelievably good for me to take the time and write about it. This machine is absolutely amazing to say the least. I hate walking barefoot but since using this machine my wood and tile floors feel so clean while walking on them. Humans every so often come up with ingenious products and Bissell has come up with one. Saves so much time now that i can mop and vacuum at the same time and it works as stated. You will not be disappointed. Trust me. I've also purchased one of Bissell's carpet cleaners which I must say is equally impressive. Bissell I'm a customer for life! You guys keep making great quality American products! :-D

After listening for 2 months to my sister's raves about how great the Symphony worked at the different homes she cleans, I went and bought one for myself. It normally takes me 2 hours to sweep, vacuum, then wash my Brazilian Cherry floors so I was anxious to see how this might improve the process. Using cleaners on the floors always left a dullness, and showed foot prints easily. So! This worked GREAT! No cleaners, just the water, the steam dried quickly and footprints were not noticeable. The vacuum feature worked great, although I did use a swifter to start due to 3 dogs. End result - VERY happy!!! Great job Bissell!!!
