When I first considered getting this vacuum, I read all of the negative reviews. I wanted to see what type of problems consumers were experiencing with it. After careful consideration, I purchased the vacuum. I understand vacuums! Almost every vacuum cleaner I have ever known of loose suction over time. This is mainly because dirt gets in areas where it is very difficult to get to so it can be cleaned. This was the problem I experienced with the last Bissell Vacuum I bought years ago and swore that I would never buy another Bissell. My wife and I recently bought a house that has hardwood floors. No carpet at all. We have 3 Cocker Spaniels that are our children, but can be challenging to clean up after. Well, I ate my words and bought the Symphony pet all-in-one vacuum and steam mop. Let me tell you, Bissell has made it so easy and from reading those negative reviews, it is obvious what those that are having issues are not doing. After every use, if you just take the bucket (that the dirt goes into) and clean it out, it will work great the next time. It comes apart very easily and you can wash it out with water. I take mine outside, take it all apart and take the hose to it. So, if you are having issues, you either got a faulty unit or you need to clean out the filter and all. It takes no more than 5 minutes. Good luck! This is a great machine! Thank you Bissell! You finally got it right!!!

Is good for steam clean,not clean the edges of the room the steam product leaves streaks when dry,the video show that cleans pet accidents and is not ! It will spread the pee in the rest of the floor since the pad for it is wet plus the wet accident not a great combination .

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had two of these now and have liked them as far as the cleaning aspect. Durability seems to be the issue. After about 18 months both of them started leaking when in steam mode. Thought the first one was a fluke so we ordered another. Same thing happened on second one. Too bad because we liked the way they cleaned. Have now moved on to something different.
