Very disappointed that the only way for this safe to meet its “waterproof” claim is to bolt it to the floor using the washers provided to cover the holes in the bottom. Even then, there are holes in the rear that are not covered, so water will still enter. The manual claims that the safe is sealed so well that it traps moisture inside, so you should never remove the desiccant pack and things that should not get wet from retained moisture should be sealed in ANOTHER container before being put in the safe. How is it that this thing can retain moisture when it has four open holes in the casing?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Sorry for your experience. The safe is rated water resistant according to the specs up to 12 inches for 72 hours. The holes on this closer to 20-24 inches
You must also bolt the safe using the included rubberized washers in order for it to be water resistant. We recommend an additional layer of protection to help with moisture, along with airing out once a month. If you have additional questions please feel free to give us a call at 800-828-1438.

SECURE BUT FAULTY HANDLE

I’ve owned this safe for 27 months and everything was fine until the handle became loose. I was fortunate enough to open the safe with the skeleton key but could not repair the handle as the threads are stripped. The handle turns in a complete circle and has pulled away from the door. I should have paid more attention to the reviews. What a shame because this was the perfect size. I even had a custom opening made in a professional closet organizer. I am so disappointed as I paid a lot of money for this safe.

Overall well built but one improvement would give it five stars. I bolted it directly to a flat concrete floor but it wobbled. I thought the floor may have had a high spot but did not. Looking down into the bolt hole cavities after re- bolting, the problem was revealed. The bolts were tight. It was the bottom of the save flexing that was causing the wobbling. The bottom of the safe either needs to be made of a thicker gauge of steel or beefed up to prevent wobbling.

Safe's fine, dimensions are WRONG :(

I've had great luck with SentrySafes so the product itself is just fine. The interior space is right at 4.68, so I'll let them round up to 4.7. HOWEVER, comma, the exterior dimensions ARE NOT as advertised. :( The safe is only Sixteen inches wide (16") NOT 19" as advertised. The safe is only Twenty and a half inches (20.5") deep, and NOT 21.7. I might not argue much about an inch on the depth. It's not much, but an inch is an inch. However, I will express my extreme disappointment with the safe being short 3 inches across. I REALLY needed those 3 inches. If I had known the safe was going to be so much smaller than advertised I would have opted for a different model (perhaps a different brand). I'm going to mark the recommend box as a YES. But, that comes with a caveat emptor that the next person who buys this safe needs to understand that the external size is NOT as advertised.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I’m not pleased with this safe ! The package was very poor. Nothing but cardboard and it was all ripped up. The safes were scratched and white dust inside and in the keypad. The doors don’t want to close to lock them ! I really should’ve returned my safes as soon as I saw the packaging! Very disappointed!!!

I have experienced several problems with this safe. The first delivery had to be returned because front of safe was badly scratched. The replacement has the felt lining on the shelves and interior is hanging off the edges instead of glued to surfaces. There had been wet, and glue spots on the back of the shelves that needed cleaning. The door needed to be left open to dry out the safe. Now the door will not close properly and it can't be locked.
