MY APARTMENT'S LIVINGROOM WINDOW IS OVER THE FIRE ESCAPE SO I CAN'T HAVE A AIR CONDITIONER IN MY LIVINGROOM THEY ONLY ALLOW AIR CONDITIONERS THAT FIT INTO THE BUILDING WALL. SO I HAVE A SOLUTION THANX TO ROWENTA FANS. I USE A SMALL ONE TO BLOW THE AIR CONDITIONING FROM THE BEDROOM TO THE DINING AREA THEN EVENTUALLY THE LIVING ROOM. I KNOW OF NO OTHER FAN THAT DOES THE JOB.AND QUIET TOO!

I LIVE IN A CONDO WHERE THE ONLY WINDOW IN MY LIVING ROOM AND DINETTE ARE NOT USABLE FOR A BUILT IN AIR CONDITIONER. WHICH IS THE ONLY KIND WE ARE ALLOWED TO HAVE. BECAUSE OF A FIRE ESCAPE. SO I HAVE ONE AIR CONDITIONER IN MY APARTMENT, THAT FAN IS ABLE TO SPREAD THE AIR CONDITIONED AIR FROM MY BEDROOM TO MY LIVINGROOM. IT IS QUIET AND HAS A NICE LOOK.

I researched "quiet fans" and this one was the top rated oscillating fan. You just have to see it to believe it. The Rowenta moves lots of air without keeping us awake at night. LOVE IT

I use this standing fan in the living room, and it's so cool on burst at the highest temp outside, coupled with my other swamper, it's like air conditioning.

Quiet and Effective Fan

I had several years of experience with the smaller 12 inch table fan VU2631, which has similar operating features. I like this 16 inch pedestal fan VU5670 just as well. (For some reason, the registration website did not allow me to enter the correct model number, which is VU5670). The feature that I like best is the extra quiet, slow speed called "Silent Night". I can sit within 5 feet of the fan and absolutely not hear it -- very useful for phone calls or any sensitive discussions that need good communication. Even this extra slow speed provides a smooth, cooling, nicely balanced air flow. For me, this attribute is what I can't buy on any other fan. If you like to spread out on a couch across the room from the pedestal fan and snooze to the murmur of wind, this fan will deliver that, as well, on the higher speed settings. The benefit of this Rowenta fan compared to most others is that you'll wake up from your nap without the usual droning roar in your ears.

I would buy another one!

I am a very poor sleeper and easily disturbed by noisy fans. This one is quite quiet and doesn't bother me. I like it very much.
