Best Android Phone You should CHOOSE

No idea what two one-star guys are talking about. The best two things on this phone besides its unique waterproof feature is its screen and its camera. The screen is not too vivid. The color is very accurate. Saturation is perfect, not too bright as Samsung, which a lot of people might like. Color temperature is very close to standard 6500K, and Sony has give you the choice to adjust that. In display setting you can adjust the white balance as what you want. It's definitely one of the best screen among all the phones including note 4 and iPhone 6 plus. The camera is all among the best. I have compared it to my own iPhone 5 and friend's iPhone 6. Z3 beats iPhone 5 in any situation (it should be better than a 2-year-old phone). In daylight the performance between Z3 and iPhone 6 is very close. As always, iPhone is always fast in taking picture - focus, writing to storage, processing. But Z3 provides you a better quality. 20.7 megapixels beats iPhone's 8 megapixels in any ways especially when you try to zoom the pictures. I know somebody might argue that iPhone has better ISP than any others. I agree with that. But ISP can't improve 8MP pictures to 20.7MP. Number of pixels does not make sense. It's just a number. But it doesn't mean that 8MP will be definitely better than 20.7MP. In night, Z3's camera has an insane 12800 ISO, which beats iPhone in any places. iPhone 6 plus might be a rival as it has optical stablization. But iPhone 6, don't even think about it. Pictures taken by Z3 is brighter, less noise, and less sign of "paint"(algorithm to improve the picture quality by smearing the low quality part of the picture) thanks to 20.7MP and 12800 ISO. Besides these two best things, this phone is fast, smooth. It has long battery life. It has remote play that you could play your PS4 anywhere as long as you have wifi and wifi has enough bandwidth(Yes it is. YOU CAN PLAY YOUR PS4 WITHOUT CONNECTING TO YOUR HOME WIFI) I have tested it. The experience under a good network is perfect.

I've been using the Z3 with T-Mobile and it works great! I had the ZL so I miss the remote control feature. The magnetic charger port is better than the old mini USB. The phone is really fast and the battery lasts a full day under heavy use. I haven't had any camera issues as some others have. The flash needed to have two elements instead of one but it works well. The design is very nice. Currently most cases cover the magnetic port so be ware which case you buy. I wish it came in a 32gb option. I compared it to the iPhone 6 and galaxy s5 and the Z3 is faster, looks better and feels better in the hand.

Best smart phone, hi res Audio is incredible

This phone is so great in all ways.

I highly recommend a trip to the Sony building in Ginza, Tokyo, to check out the awesome Xperia showroom set up so you can get a better grasp on how incredible the Hi Res Audio feature is.
The screen is great, zero lag ( a concern for some on Android, 100% no lag to be found on this device ) ,
the camera is wonderful once you get to know the manual mode, the UI is really easy to use....

...but for me, the best feature by far is the HI RES AUDIO which works with Sony's Hi Res Audio headphones and ear buds when listening to WAV file hi quality music through the Walkman App...

My only complaint is I have to explain this phone to EVERYONE, as it would seem the general public has no idea it exists.
Oh and the battery lasts for what seems like forever...

I use this with ATT in the USA, Olleh in Korea and Softbank in Japan.
I also picked up the compact version in red, black and white, which is great for running, same great quality and performance as the regular size.

I have had this device for over a month now & Its build quality is really good! I have had mainly Samsung Smartphones and I can say the Sony has done itself proud! The only draw back is the Power Button needs to be more sturdy, but the double tap wake up is a god send! To save the use of it! Everything else is great - Just a shame its only got a 16gb internal memory! The two day battery life is genuine! I can get a whole days use with it. I end up with 56% on average and this includes 2G dead areas! All in all 4 stars if it had 32gb memory It would of got 5 stars!

phone looks great but doesn't mean its durable

i was working one day 14 days after getting my phone i took it out of my pocket and the screen looked broken. upon closer inspection the LCD was the only thing broken the screen was perfectly fine. i did not apply hard pressure to it so i wonder how it broke. also the phone kept hanging up calls and i would have to restart the phone every time i made a phone call in order to make another phone call. it was not a network issue so i could not go to my retailer and get a replacement. i will never buy another Sony phone ever again. looks great but not durable, unlike other smart phones i had before. and they all had 5" screens, no problems at all.

Much Better than the Z

I purchased this phone to have some different. The quality and the software does not justify the price. great looking phone with problem that you just do not have with the Iphone 5 or 6, Samsung GS3, GS4, or GS5. Can you imagine having a smartphone in 2015 that does not support group texting, that hard to connect to wifi, that freezes and Sony should stop trying to fix android software or make it better and just go with the android software. I purchased two xperia z's of these at the same time. I have given the to friends a gifts. The biggest problem with the z is the battery life. These phones are having to be charged three time a day to get though the day. I have purchased in the last 6 months 4 Sony products 2 xperia z, and xperia Z2 tablet and the xperia Z3 phone. They are all great looking items but all have design or software problems. I have learn to love and hate them at the same time.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Just keep getting better

My Z1 was the finest phone I ever owned until I enthusiastically upgraded to the Z3. For many years, I had come to believe that Samsung had become the new Sony as I progressed from Sony Ericsson flip phones to Samsung Galaxies. Well, no more! The Xperia Z phones are quietly, I believe, the best phones on the market bar none.Beautiful.
I really don't have any problem with my camera just a tip for other reviewer!!
Pros: long battery life, easy to use, great camera, large screen, great web browsing, great for texting, useful apps, stereo separation, bravia hd
Con: the two speaker up and down should really have been hidden somewhere just like my Z1!!
