It is a microwave!

It works fine; but I have some major complaints. There is much less granularity in the allowable time settings; for instance it is not possible to set a time of 112 seconds. Also there are many fewer options for reheating and defrosting than were available on our previous unit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Replacement

We bought this microwave to replace a defective Cafe microwave that we had for just over 5 years--using it only 3 months per year at our second residence. This one works great--after we figured out how to use it. With no "button" pad, it's a little confusing as first. Once learned, we're very happy.

I had the ge cafe from 2008..it died..got this one and you have to select, turn a dial, press tge dial, tgen enter..why? It's dumb..

Cheaper materials than previous year's models

Bought this to replace a 2011 Cafe model that had the usual problem with the touch pad. The feel of this new model is that it is made from much cheaper material than previous models. However, as far as its capabilities go, it gets the job done. (The 15 second incremental time capability is a bit annoying but I can live with it). Probably could have gotten the same options from a less-expensive machine, but I had to match my stove.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
