Had microwave for 10 weeks and the handle looks terrible. Its a piece of plastic covered in a stainless steel colored sticker. Sticker is not coming off due to head from burner now looks horrible.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I hate this replacement microwave.

I HAD to buy this microwave to replace my 7 year old Cafe microwave that died after very little use. Dimensions were the same and it matched my Cafe stove. It was cheaper to replace than repair. Pathetic! It is made much more cheaply. And the dial feature is a pain- it's really not intuitive at all. I despise the stainless interior - it is much more work to keep clean. and I hate that the clock does not stay on all the time.

The microwave works fine. Food and beverages heat up nicely. The controls and the dial operations leave something to be desired.

Replaced my GE Cafe Series (original version) because it finally died, with the current version. Gotta say, they downgraded in quality. - No number pad, just a dial?!?! C'mon...Seriously! - cheap handle, cheap door, - takes nearly 2x as long to cook compared to the previous model - Fan if freaking loud as heck, even on LOW
Just an average microwave at a premium price.

Have been using for 18 months...switch within unit, when closing unit for operation is not functioning correctly...began acting up 6 months ago...now totally non-operational...

I am quite disappointed in the fact that this is a replacement for the microwave I originally purchased along with the stove as a stainless steel set and this microwave has a plastic handle instead of stainless steel.
