Noisiest refrigerator I've ever heard

If you like diesel engines, you'll love this fridge. It worked fine for about a month, then started making a super loud, high pitched whir every time it turned on that lasts for 10-15 minutes. Even after having an issue corrected because a part was installed incorrectly, the noise persisted and I was told that it "yeah, sounds loud", but that was "normal operation". I've lived with maybe 10 different fridges throughout the years at various rentals, and this being the first I've purchased, I can say I've never, ever heard a fridge make the noises this fridge makes. My friends and I even have a running joke now, "is it loud? or is it GE fridge loud?"
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the counter depth

When my 15 year old refrigerator bit the dust on 07/07/17, I began the long search for a replacement. I first looked at the G E Profile because of my other appliances, but thought I couldn't afford it. After searching the internet, retail stores and wholesale stores, reading so many reviews my head was spinning, I realized I couldn't afford to buy anything else. Once I had seen and compared the GE Profile to others, I wouldn't settle for less. It was delivered on Aug. 9, and I love it. Counter depth in my galley kitchen fit perfectly. I have no complaints as of yet. I know some reviews say problems began later on, but I am hopeful and very pleased now. It's beautiful, quiet, large enough ....shelves are not as deep as I was used to, but learning to adjust...easily cleaned except for the handles which show prints way too easily but that is a quick clean up. It has the inside chilled water, but I don't use it and there are no drips, when the great grandchildren come, I'll learn about that. Ice maker works as advertised. I am hoping I see a difference in the utility bill because I doesn't run as much as my old fridge. So far - very, very good!!!!

New Kitchen

I finally had the opportunity to completely redo my kitchen and I knew exactly what kind of appliances I wanted. I do some catering and this fridge fits the bill!

Nice refrigerator!

I wanted slate color and there aren't a lot of choices out there. I wanted filtered water inside the fridge, french doors, and counter depth. I purchased this online site unseen and couldn't be happier. Roomy inside, fantastic lighting - it's all good. Not sure this would be adequate for a large family, but for a couple with grandchildren, it works great!

Nice appearance

This is my second GE Profile Refrigerator. The first one I bought almost 6 years ago when I remodeled my kitchen. The latest one I just purchased for my new home mainly because I was so happy with the first one but I'm disappointed in the quality of this latest one compared to my first one especially in the handles on the freezer. They feel like they are going to pop off each time I use it. Also, there is definitely a difference in the quality of plastic drawers/compartments. They feel much cheaper.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great use of space!

We bought this end of January 2018 and I couldn't be more happy. The layout of the fridge is exceptional. Though it is a bit smaller than my old fridge, you can't tell the difference. In fact it hold more than the old.

love the space

We've had this product for 3 months and love it. The interior space is well designed. Like having the water dispenser on the inside, seems to be a better use of space then our previous models. The exterior finish is easy to clean.

All the features I wanted

The size and features are perfect for me. The water dispenser is on the inside of the refrigerator so there is never a mess on the outside door. The ice maker works extremely well. I am very happy with this product.
