So far, so good... I don't hear any of the fan noise issues I read about in other reviews. A large round platter definitely fits and the interior has plenty of room (am VERY glad I did not get the ice/water in the door- it takes up a lot of the interior space!). The interior water dispenser takes up none of the space and is easy to use... it's simple enough to pull out the freezer drawer and grab some ice, so I am happy :)
I would recommend this to a friend!

Space needed on each side so doors don't hit cabs

To GE & Owners: I am considering this counter depth for a "built-in" look, but have concerns about doors hitting cabinets, (or in my case double ovens) when fully opened. Or not being able to open doors fully. Does anyone have this issue?

It's so cool looking

I'm very happy with the fridge. It took some time to get used to how shallow it is, but definitely worth it to not take up so much space in my small kitchen. My only complaint is that the water dispenser (it's an interior) is a little uncomfortable to hold in. I ended up using my Brita pitcher again because it was such a pain to hold the button to fill up a water pitcher to use to fill pet bowls.

Great counter depth fridge.

Wanted a counter depth fridge with no door water/ice dispenser on the door front. Previously had a LG in the house we sold. We loved it, except the ice cubes would fall behind the bin in the freezer under the freezer bins. The GE does not have this problem. The ice bin is smaller, but makes ice quickly as it is used. Loved this fridge, except the water filling the ice tray is noisy, but it may be we only notice this because all our kitchen appliances are super quiet. The store replaced the valve, but it is still noisy so suspect that is just how it is. My husband thinks it may be due to our great water pressure.

We initially chose this model based on it's perfect fit in our new home. It has been an excellent decision. All of the features work wonderfully, and it holds much more than other counter depth models. Well designed.
