Freezer door that will not open

This refrigerator freezer door is hard to open, it gets tight and will not let me in until I wait a few minutes after opening and closing. Sometimes as long as 5 minutes or more will pass before I can open it. By pulling on the handle, I have had to have it serviced to tighten and it is getting close to that again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great layout, but very loud humming noises!

Love the french door layout, and the freezer below, but having a hard time adjusting to the loud humming noises (for about 3 minutes) when the compressor first starts, then tapers off.

Quit cooling after 4 months

Liked the product until if failed. GE repairer rep showed up today. Said he could not fix it. Waiting on follow up from GE warranty. Have a 23 cubic foot paper weight in our kitchen

Hello and sorry this has happened to you. This is certainly not what we wanted you to experience. We fully understand how you feel. The authorized service company will handle what happens next since he determined that it cannot be repaired. They are normally quick when handling a failed appliance without being able to be repaired. We hope this is taken care of quickly. Geoff@GEA

Poor quality for the price.

Poor quality. Multiple trips for tech to fix doors to shut properly. Had to order new parts for brand new refrigerator. Still working on fixing.

Fit perfect, Not great on ceramic flooring... moves when open doors; needed to place non stick fabric under foot even though roller was not engaged.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Looks, Small Freezer, Very Loud

I have had this now for 2 months. While the stainless appearance is nice and the french doors make getting things out of the refrigerator easy, the freezer is too small. Also I'm not sure if this is due to it being a french door but from time to time when the fan kicks on its very loud. GE came out here to look at it but I was told it was due to it being energy efficient and the fan circulates the cold air. My next refrigerator will be a side by side and also will have external water controls. We thought we could live without this feature but I must say having open the door to get cold water is terrible if you have little kids.

No cooling, no lights, breaker and wall power OK. Spending Sunday morning moving food to temporary storage. Not happy!
