Inside Ice and Water gives a clean Look!

Update to previous review; Everything works great on replacement refrigerator delivered yesterday, in time for a birthday celebration! Works as it should with plenty of ice, even after discarding first batch as directed! Guests raved about the sleek look of the doors. I went online and printed a few pages of the manual that explained different sounds the new appliance would make on startup. All is quiet now. Delivery team was excellent, they even made sure everything was level and doors even.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We love the convenience of the french door model. However the fridge failed and had to be replaced after 18 months.

Nosier operation then our previous refrigerator, KitchenAid. Sounds like a muted truck safety backup beeper.

Water dispenser is a disaster

The water dispenser button is so hard to push. It takes all your force. A child could never work it. It takes 2 hands to fill water. It only makes 1 tray of ice every six hours. Takes 3 days to fill ice bin. If you have company ice bin will be empty. I’m so disappointed because I researched and waited 2 years to buy this refrigerator. Everything else is great as long as you don’t need plentiful ice or easy water.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Initial Presentation Not Ideal

Upon delivery I was very disappointed that after paying as much as we did for the refrigerator that my wife and I have spent at least four hours cleaning the manufacturing grime, grease and adhesives from the unit. The biggest two complaints are that the protective film on the stainless steel is embedded under the molding and is not cerated to rip off cleanly. Instead there are remnants of plastic film that are too small to pull on and use of a knife or tool could damage the stainless surface. The second complaint is that the unit did not come with an owners manual. I would really appreciate if GE would address these issues before I can write a more positive review.

We want to help out with removing the packaging material. We suggest using liquid dishwasher detergent and warm water, then letting it soak on the sections that need to be removed. After soaking for a while, wipe it clean with a soft, dry cloth. Also, you can view the user manual at the following link. Nightmare

This Refrigerator has been nothing but a hassle from day one. the fresh food condenser gets iced up every couple months. I have replaced every piece that has to do with the defrost function and nothing has fixed the issue. the support from GE has been non existent. Researching has proved that the design of this fridge is very poor. Big surprise that GE no longer makes this model.
