Looks Great and Very Reliable!

After 15 months of ownership, thought I would take a minute and provide some feedback on our hands on experience with this. GE PWE23KYNFS refrigerator.
Definitely a solid performing refrigerator with zero problems so far. A lot to like: easy too clean, looks nice, build quality seems very good, cools and freezes perfectly. Gallon jugs fit in the door cavity shelves and all the shelves are adjustable. Freezer is perfect for a small family. Water filter is easy to change. Rolls away from the wall easily on its built in wheels. Rubber seals on the doors are very good making a very tight seal.
IF you try to immediately open the freezer door again after closing it, the door is difficult to open due to vacuum (normal). Wait a couple minutes and it will open freely. Our handles "have not" came loose because I know not to force the freezer open immediately after closing it. No problems at all.
I think GE has it figured out with this Twin Chill evaporator design. This GE Fridge replaced a competitor's twin evaporator fridge that failed on us multiple times. The performance of this GE twin evaporator design seems to work flawlessly. Would definitely recommend it. I trust it 100%.
From now on, all my appliances will be GE. They take pride in their products and it shows in the performance and appearance.

Spacious and bright, slow water and install

We live our new fridge! Some travelling guests recommended it and we’re glad we waited to get this model. We were nervous about miving from the deeper fridge to this shallower depth, but it is super spacious and bright. The design makes much better use of space with how shelves and door storage are laid out. The 2 things id caution on (1) the water dispenser is very slow. Im usually not wanting to wait 2 minutes to fill a glass. We use britta now inside. (2) We paid for in home install but the 3rd party delivery company GE hired only did threshhold delivery. No one ever called us to resolve this.

The bad idea was one long drawer on the bottom of upper side. To get something from it I have to open both upper door, it means loosing the cold fast.

The refrigerator is great but the plastic pick film that is used in packing is terrible and I mean terrible. I can not get it out of all the seams. I was told by Customer Service to use a took pick. That is just not acceptable. I am not sure who is going to fix the problem. I would really like to hear back from you!!

Not the best quality or reliability. Do better.

It worked fine for about 3 years, then it died. The quality is not the best. A tech said that the compressor is leaking and VERY expensive to replace.

new refrigerator failed in 45 day

bought a new PWE23KYNFS, 2nd one this year, and third GE refrigerator in last 18 month. Always a fan. This time i got a real lemon. failed within 45 day of tuning it on. Now it is 45 days later and it is still not working.

Compressor failed within first few weeks

Very disappointed with brand new GE Profile refrigerator. Waiting for a new compressor to be installed by June 1. We did get a quick response to our call and technician was here in less than a week but it is taking weeks to get new part delivered… besides refrigerator we bought a gas range and a dishwasher. Gasket on range stove came off and temperature probe broke. What’s next GE? We thought we were purchasing quality products of the GE Profile line.
