We love this fridge!

We've had this fridge for a little over a year. It's our first counter depth. The inside seems small at first (absolutely shocking the 1st time I opened the door) but all the odd things can go in the doors, freeing up the main area for larger items. Less food goes to waste because I can see all the way to the back of the fridge and my husband is able to find things easier. :) It was large enough to hold a 24-pound turkey, along with all the other Thanksgiving groceries. We both like the door alarm. I'm surprised at the people commenting the refrigerator is loud. Ours is SUPER quiet! The freezer is a tad small, as are the crisper drawers, but they're adequate. We are very happy with this fridge.
I would recommend this to a friend!

GREAT NEW FRIDGE, HIGHLY FUNCTIONAL

Been over 10 days since we got our new GE Fridge. We looked around at a lot of options and finally decided to go with GE. Very hard to go wrong with GE appliances and while its been only a few days, we're thoroughly satisfied and happy with our purchase. This is a counter-depth fridge but still very spacious. It comes with a water dispenser on the inside, which is what we preferred. We did not want the external ice/water dispenser as that takes up space inside the door/fridge in some models. This way, the storage space within the door is 100% up for use and is very deep. For example, the larger storage racks in the door can house a gallon of milk, creamer and wine bottles, all in one bin/tray. One shelf is also adjustable - which is very handy feature. We bought this fridge for what it's supposed to do and it does that with ease. Looks good in our kitchen. We wanted exactly something like this, very functional, good looking, no fancy features (less chances of things breaking down).

More space than I thought

I was worried about going from a full size to a counter depth appliance but I am amazingly surprised with the space and the deep tall shelving on the doors . So far LOVE IT !

The unit cools well & freezer & ice maker working satisfactory. After (14) months started making lots of noise (probably fan failure). Did research & ordered evaporator fan. Unfortunately the GE parts diagram did not indicate that there are (2) fans in this compartment. Very disappointed in GE. Expensive refrigerator. Will update after second fan (fresh food section) is located.

Problems at just shy of 4 years old

No problems for the first three years and suddenly we wake up to a continuous low pitched humming noise and the refrigerator at 43 degrees, soon spiking to 50 degrees!! Check to make sure nothing blocking back wall of fridge, unplugged, re-plugged and no change to problem. Contacted GE and no service until 6 days later!! Thankfully we have another fridge as back-up (cheaper Kenmore fridge that we've owned for over 10 years -still running strong, never a problem with it)
Very disappointed. Expected more reliability from such an expensive product from what I considered a stalwart appliance manufacturer.

GE Profile refrigerator is not what I expected

From day 1 it has been quite noisy compared to the one I replaced. It also has trouble maintaining temperature since I consistently have items freezing when I have the proper settings set according to the GE information.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Another disappointment

Fit and finish issues; same as the GE range I just purchased. Door & drawer alignment is off, insulating foam splashed on side of french door. How do these issues escape quality inspection??

Exactly what we wanted

The design is perfect for our kitchen. The counter depth keeps everything looking uniform. It is spacious inside and fits more than our last refrigerator.
