So nice to have a fridge again!

After waiting 3 1/2 months for delivery (and my old one already conked out!), I am happy to have a fully functioning refrigerator. Inside space seems to be really good, interior lighting is great, adjustable shelving, small pull-down shelf on right door is unique, temperature controls = all good. After keeping the milk stored on the door, it did not seem to be keeping it very cold (while items on top interior shelf developed frost!). So I moved the milk carton, and the only place to keep it was to slide the split shelf back to leave enough vertical space. I am undecided as to whether I will keep it that way. Also, the freezer (and other reviews are correct, it takes a good hard tug to open the door) developed a LOT of frost initially. After printing out the manual - since manuals no longer come with the products - it said that frost would develop if the freezer door was not securely closed. Mine had been closed, no door alarm was going off, and I was able to carefully chip away some of the frost/ice. Eventually, most of it disappeared (not all, but most). Overall, I am pleased with the unit, it sure beats not having a fridge for over 3 months! Suggestion: please include manuals with product purchases!

Wow - Very Nice Fridge

Amazing how easy to install and all the features we need. I did extensive research on this model and the Profile series. We just installed it an expect years of use out of it.

Great use of space!

After 12 years of having our KitchenAid fridge we had to find a replacement and after online searches and reviewing we decided to go with this GE model. Love the extra space and style of the refrigerator the only thing I don’t like is the water dispenser were you almost have to use two hands to fill up your glass versus just pushing an area on our old fridge and having it self dispense. Also noticing the water that comes out of the dispenser isn’t as cold as it was when we first got it, hopefully not a major issue.

Worth the Wait!

Our search and patience were rewarded upon delivery of our GE Profile refrigerator. Like most people, we required a size to fit an existing opening. We specifically wanted a counter depth unit, with interior filtered water, and an ice maker below. This affords you more storage space above. Surprisingly, most manufacturers do not offer this option. The reliability of GE Profile unit was a no brainer.

The ice maker leaks

The fridge is good with lots of usable space but the icemaker leaks into the ice tray causing the cubes in the back to turn into a solid block ice

GE Profile Refrigerator with bottom Freezer

This is a roomy refrigerator providing ability for trays or tall storage items easily. I am quite surprised by the strength needed to open the freezer drawer. The suction is very strong which is great for the food but could be difficult for someone who is older or weaker.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Try rubbing paraffin wax or petroleum jelly along the edges of the entire gasket. Paraffin wax is used for canning and is safe for use around food.
Do not use candle wax as it may contain chemicals that are not safe for use around food.

Great fridge with tons of space !

We had a side by side in our last home - hated the tiny freezer and fridge. This one is a HUGE improvement - tons of space in fridge and freezer drawers.

Beautiful Fridge but it scratches easy

We’ve had the fridge for about a month now. Spent quite a bit of time researching for such a big purchase. Shelves are sturdy! And nothing appears to be cheap. Research the filters and the different ways to accommodate others. We also have two toddlers so we opted for the interior dispensers. We have also noticed the produce does last much longer than it did. Nothing appears cheap with this fridge.
The one very disappointing thing about the fridge is how easy it is to scratch the exterior. We purchased the slate version which was beautiful for about a day. That was so disappointing after loving this fridge so much.
