Not really happy

The French doors are unsatisfactory. Have to open BOTH doors to put a med to large plate in. Side door shelves stick out too far making it awkward to open just one door to get into the drawers. Louder than I would think.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Features

I went from a side-by-side with icemaker in the door to the French doors with icemaker in the freezer below. The amount of storage space in the fridge is well worth having to retrieve ice from the freezer bucket.

I was worried that the counter depth fridge would be too small. Not so! This fridge is very roomy and I love that things don’t get lost behind other items.

Mostly the best Refrigerator I have ever Owned

The style and features of this 3-door refrigerator is one of the best I have ever encountered. The "french-door" refrigerator portion accommodates a variety of storage and quick view at a glance of what you have. The door storage is also adequate. My old refrigerator had a shelving option that I loved and this GE refrigerator lacks - namely a crank on the shelve that allows easily changing the position of the shelf with the turn of handle. It is a shame more refrigerator do not have this design.
The inside the refrigerator water dispenser is also a feature I prefer. We don't use the feature much but do like the sleek look of the refrigerator with no "stuff" on the outside.
The ice maker has worked well for us. I saw previous reviewers mention issues with this feature, but ours works well!
My only disappointment so far is the stainless finish on this refrigerator, unlike previous refrigerators, is that it shows marks readily. Thus, I have a constant battle with having it look clean. We are empty nesters and retired so I notice these things and do have time to remediate. Just a warning - to anyone with high refrigerator traffic, you may want to steer away from the stainless steel finish.

Happy with choice

We finally had to replace our refrigerator after adding a brand new kitchen 20 years ago. Very please with the layout of this new frig as it has ample space and easy to see everything, and I love the pull out freezer section!

Well designed product

This replaces a GE counter depth side by side unit of similar exterior dimensions and 15 years old. I have had this for 9 months and am very pleased. Plenty of room and easy access. I appreciate that the coils on the bottom are concealed and do not require periodic cleaning. The led lighting is a nice touch.
