Temperature Issues

Bought in May 2014, "died" June 26 2014, temp 50 in frig, 40 freezer. Replaced 7/2. Temp "set 37", "actual 37" but water and veggies freezing.Reset 39, "actual 39" but actual thermometer reading 32 and 34. Now will reset again? or call service?

Stopped Cooling 66 Days after Delivery. Saturday 11/22/2014. Just 4 Days before Thanksgiving. Would really like to know if anyone reads this from GE.

Great Fridge

After one year of ownership, I have no complaints about this fridge. It has been trouble free, looks great, and is surprisingly spacious for a counter depth unit. I had an older GE Profile counter depth at my previous house, and this one has a much better designed interior layout to maximize space. Controls are place in the door jamb, and the water filter is recessed so neither encroach on storage space. Great size for a couple or small family. It is also extremely quiet. I like that the freezer and refrigerator sections can operate independently-- saving energy and keeping more stable temp. Highly recommend.

Three months old and they have been here to deliver three different doors. Original frig door was damaged and freezer drawer. Second door was also damaged out of the box. Freezer guide rail had to be replaced because the freezer drawer wouldn't close so freezer wouldn't stay cold and ran constantly. They had to come twice to remedy the guide rail. Wednesday the frig wouldn't cool. Read 66 degrees and stayed between 40 and 66. Thursday it remained in the 60's all day until someone could come Friday to repair. Temp is going down so it looks hopeful but we shall see.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the Slate

Very happy with the counter depth fridge. I am short so, it is great not having to reach so far back to reach items. We didn't loose any cubic feet of storage as this is wider than the original fridge. It also makes the kitchen not feel closed off since it doesn't stick out as far. The only thing I wish they had done is make the meat tray 2 drawers so you didn't have to open both to access the tray.

Been 20+ years

We finally remodeled our kitchen after 20+ years. My wife knew she didn't want a surface that she would be continuously wiping fingerprints off the appliances. She saw the GE Profile with a slate finish. Plus, we did not want a ice/water dispenser in the door, plus, she wanted a counter depth refrigerator. After installation we are tremendously pleased with how our kitchen looks with the appliances adding to the beauty. So far we have enjoyed the applicances and are very happy with the appearances.

Nice looking

Installed in September. Some design work on the long pull out drawer for cheese and cold cuts needs to be addressed. This should be two sections so both doors don't have to be opened at same time fo access.

Not Cold...Or Even Cool

We had this refrigerator for 34 days and the evaporators went bad. Lost some food in the refrigerator part (saved the frozen food), but the retailer replaced the refrigerator because it wasn't economical to fix it. We replaced it with the PYE22KSKSS.
