Well designed space a

Love love the size of the door shelves. They allow me to keep all my jars/containers organized thus allowing me to use the interior shelves for other things. So even though a counter depth frig has less cubic feet. It is well designed for maximum space. Also, I love having an ice maker in the freezer with lots of ice. Who wants an ice maker in the outside door taking up room inside the frig? Not me!!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

FREEZES EVERYTHING

Have had the fridge for about a year and a half. IT FREEZES EVERYTHING!!! It just randomly decides to cool down and freezes everything in the whole fridge. I have had to throw out so much food because of it. I like the water and ice dispensers though.

We are more than happy to provide guidance with your refrigerator freezing foods. If foods in the fresh food section of your bottom freezer style refrigerator are freezing, you should check the food load, as it is an important factor. The fresh food drawers and compartment should ideally be at least 1/2 full or more. Freezing is more likely to occur when the refrigerator does not have enough food to absorb the cold air. We have also provided some additional tips to help with your food freezing here: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=23638

Piece of crap

Don’t waste your time or money. This fridge is a pile of crap. The icemaker has never worked correctly. The refrigerator temperature is not consistent build quality is poor. The semi trapezoidal freezer drawer is a pain to use for any useful storage. Don’t buy GE. If I were a wealthy person I would quickly haul this piece of crap to the recycling facility immediately.

We'd like to help out with the icemaker not producing ice and with your refrigerator not keeping cool.
In regards to the icemaker not making ice, we suggest checking to see if the water filter is clogged or needing to be replaced. You will also want to check if any ice cubes are blocking the ice mold. You can view additional troubleshooting tips in the following article: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=17403
For your refrigerator not cooling properly, we first recommend checking for any gaps or holes around the door seal. This will cause the temperature to increase and overall reduce the performance. Large containers in back may block the flow of cold air and adversely affect the temperatures in the refrigerator. Move tall items forward so they don't block the air flow. You can view more troubleshooting tips here: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=21185
If you are still experiencing issues, we suggest scheduling service with our Bodewell team. You can do so by calling 1-833-426-3393 or by visiting this link: https://www.bodewell.com/schedule-repair-service

Water dispenser button issues
on September 3, 2025
Posted by: gunnels
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a good fridge so far (45 days in). All the features, especially the ice maker, are in good working order. The only issue is the in-door water dispenser. The water spout is short and difficult to get a liquid container underneath so it won't spill. The water dispenser button takes my wife's full strength to depress. I am hoping that these features indicate structural sturdiness and a robust design but only time will tell.
I would recommend this to a friend!
