Great features with plenty of inside room

We just received our new refrigerator. It looks great and first day it is already outperforming our last non GE refrigerator. So far we like the features and refrigerator is better than we expected.

Great features & lighting

This refrigerator replaced our 7 yr old kitchenaid. We purchased it because it fit our space. The separate compressors for refrigerator & freezer appealed to us. The deep door bins hold lots of small items which keeps the shelves available for larger items. Freezer holds as much as the old refrigerator
. The drawers are not as substantial as the prior refrigerator. But all in all we are pleased. Fit perfect & looks great.

Great except for one big problem

I generally like this refrigerator. It is surprisingly spacious for a counter depth, it's quiet, it's attractive, and it keeps things nice and cool. The problem is the freezer drawer is very difficult to open, and the freezer handle has fallen off twice since we installed the fridge 6 weeks ago. It's insanely frustating when you pay nearly $3000 for an appliance to not be able to keep a handle on the door.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice sleek design, good use of interior space.

Nice design, counter depth fits in perfectly. Nice use of interior space and extra wide shelves on door. Water dispenser is on the inside which is better for us and leads to less spills on the floor which the old outside dispenser did. Only complaint is that it is a little loud when it runs.

More room than expected!

I love this fridge! I didn’t spend a lot of time researching as my options were limited. I wanted a reasonably priced counter depth French door bottom freezer model. I’ve been so happy with how much I can fit in this fridge. The side storage containers are amazing and the best feature. Highly recommend.

I do not like this style refrigerator. There have been times when doors have remained ajar because they don't swing shut like most refrigerators and instead require a firm, manual closing. The freezer door is quite difficult to open and we had problems with frost build-up initially. I don't like having to open two doors to access certain areas of the refrigerator. I don't like how the door and interior shelving are designed--doesn't seem to hold as much as my older Kitchen Aid. I actually can't think of much I do like about this unit except that it does seem to maintain a proper temperature.

Very large capacity

I've had this refrigerator/freezer for a couple months now. It replaced an 18-year old side by side of similar size. The french door and freezer drawer combo seems much more roomy. I love the refrigerator access for larger items. With just 2 people in our household, it never seems full. I did have a bit of concern with cleaning spots off the stainless steel finish. However after contacting customer service, they were able to let me know of a couple products to keep it spotless. Problem solved.
