Great refrigerator

We love our new refrigerator. We had one that had the freezer on the top and we had to bend to reach items in the back. No more! The two doors don't swing out as much as a single door, so less room is taken up. It is very roomy. The bottom freezer is very large and items are easily accessible.

Nice modern look

It’s a nice looking appliance, but I’d prefer the ice and water access to be on the outside or more accessible inside. It’s an awkward body twist to get water and freezer door is extremely difficult to open and requires counter pressure to keep the entire fridge from moving forward. I would not recommend this fridge. It was part of our home purchase so we are learning how to work around the inflexible features.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love this fridge!

I hated the Samsung french door fridge I had before this one, so I looked long and hard before buying this fridge. It is fabulous. I've had it for about 2 months and I'm still finding new features that I love, like small pull out bins in the door of the freezer compartment I discovered today. The black stainless is completely impervious to fingerprints. It is counter-depth. It projects a little beyond the counter, but if it didn't, you couldn't open the door on the counter side. It only sticks out enough to allow that door to open.

Problems since installation

Beautiful appliance but has had loud odd noises and problems with water valve and now water freezing on top glass shelf.....recently stopped making ice. Trying to get through the maze of people with GE to get service man to our area has been very stressful. Very surprised about GE .......

I give this 4 3/4 stars!! I love our new refrigerator! We researched quite a bit before purchasing and I'm so glad we chose this one. Very spacious inside with no ice maker take up door space. Very happy with size of freezer too with the ice maker in the drawer is not a hassle to open up to get ice. The only reason I'm not giving a 5 star is it does make some
weird crackling noises at times, I guess when making ice, but is not a big deal to me. The compressor is not loud like some have reviewed. I love the finish of this stainless steel, even though not described as fingerprint resistant, it doesn't streak as easy and cleans up easily when we do get prints around the door handles. Much better quality stainless steel than our old Samsung side by side, which only lasted 7 years. Was leering about paying the higher price but this fridge is worth it, so far!

I do like my new refrigerator. Although my 16-year old Maytag wasn’t ready to retire, I have always wanted the counter depth size. Price was always the issue.
I did my research on units below $3,000, armoire style (like my Maytag) and American made. The GE Profile was nicely rated. I also trust my local retailer.
I feel the overall quality is good, but it does lack some features.
Pull out shelves, wire baskets in the freezer, easy access butter dish compartment. I do like the lighting.
I can’t speak to the ease of cleaning just yet.
