I love the look of the fridge. The fingerprint resistant feature is great. I would never get an appliance that didn't offer that anymore. The inside is fairly roomy for a counter depth. I like the drop down drawer for my eggs and kept my egg tray from my other fridge because you don't get one with the fridge. My old egg tray fits perfectly. The lighting is nice and bright and I'm happy with the shelves and all the bins for storage. The freezer is a bit small in my opinion compared to the look of it from the outside. The icemaker is nice and yes you can hear it make ice, but it's not loud in my opinion. The only negative thing I have to say is the specs aren't right for the width on this fridge. It says that it's 35-3/4" wide I believe and it's not. It's a little over 36" wide and didn't fit in my space. I have to have my cupboards moved over because I cannot open the right door as it is up against a wall and the door hinges need at least 1/2" of room. I was very disappointed this is not made aware to the consumer in the specs. So I'm hear to tell you that you need 37" or more room for it to fit. Not 35-3/4". I' love this fridge. I recommend getting it.

When 15 minutes of delivery the unit began humming, knocking and vibrating. The unit arrived with a baseball sized dent in the back of cabinet and 6 hours later the freezer has yet to get any cold air. The compressor is louder than my GE microwave.
It is a good looking unit and much better storage than the Samsung which I replaced, however the compressor issues are a significant issue.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Beautiful Refrigerator!

I have only had this refrigerator for less than a week, but so far I love it! I was unsure about the design with the freezer on the bottom, as I have only owned side by sides and was not sure if there would be enough room in it. I am happy to share that the refrigerator section seems huge compared to my side by side and there is plenty of room in the freezer. This refrigerator has an updated sleek look and the black slate is beautiful...love it!

Super noisy

Fridge was delivered damage, installer wasn't able to get the door to close properly. We were doing to wait for a replacement until we heard the full range of noises this fridge makes. After an hour of being on it started to make a very loud mechanical noise that was too loud to ignore. That louder noise went away but every time fridge would turn on it was very noticeable.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I picked the water feature inside the door. I was over drips down the front of the fridge. I also got counter depth which fit nicely in it spot. It’s really stunning for a fridge.

Condensation and sticky ice cubes

The continuing saga of this refrigerator and its short comings. Thought it was a temporary thing but sadly the condensation on the top of the freezer door gasket is constant. In addition, with the cold freezer air getting out moisture is getting in with an everything being frosted in the freezer and the ice cubes sticking. Very disappointing. Poor design. Awful product.

Great fridge - Amazaing Icemaker

When remodeling my kitchen I went from a 30" standard depth refrigerator to this 36" counter depth. I was a little worried about making the move to the counter depth but there was no need for worry. Pretty much everything that "lives" in the fridge (condiments, milk, juice, etc.) fit into the very deep door bins leaving the entire inside of the fridge open for everything else. The big test was a few weeks ago when I hosted a big party at my house. It took a little creativity, but all of the food was able to fit in the fridge. The biggest surprise was that I was able to fit two large Rubbermaid containers (11" x 16") on the top shelf without turning them sideways! The icemaker is also amazing! Our old one didn't really have an automatic shut off when the bin was full - or if it did it never worked right. We would constantly have ice falling through the back into the bottom compartment of the fridge whenever we opened the freezer drawer. Whenever we were going to be gone for a while I would have to manually shut off the ice maker or we would come home to find we couldn't even open the freezer drawer due to the buildup of ice. That was one of my biggest concerns when purchasing a new refrigerator and this GE has not disappointed me once! We were out of town for a week and left the ice maker on with no issues at all. The ice was at a perfect level when we returned with no overflow. The ice bin is a bit smaller than our previous one and my husband takes a lot of ice to work with him each day. I also work from home and using ice all day as well so we were concerned a little bit that it wouldn't keep up with our ice demand but so far so good - even during the hot summer months!

Awful! Service has already had to come out 3 time in first 8 months to fix various issues, very concerned what will happen after warranty expires. Freezer drawer doesn't close easily, motor runs very loud (can hear in the next room!), hardly makes any ice. Would not recommend this refrigerator at all.
