counter depth look

I looked at appliance stores, big box stores and online. My last refrigerator was 18 years old so it was overwhelming. This counter depth model fits in perfect with my kitchen. What a difference a few inches makes to the overall look!! I love the design and the retracting shelf for oversized items. Lots of space in the freezer too.

Frig looks great inside and out. Right away I wish the door handles were a little farther apart from each other. I've racked my knuckles opening one or the other doors a few times already in the 5 days we've had it. Love the LED lighting, inside water dispenser, and freezer compartment is very well laid out compared to my old frig. The deep door bins dp make getting to the water a bit challenging. I'm not so thrilled with the cold space. Too much shelf space is sacrificed to make room for giant door bins that we'll probably only partially fill. I wish we could replace the extra deep bins with less deep ones and install deeper shelves. Veggie/Fruit drawers cannot hold much. Not tall enough for a head of lettuce or cabbage and they too suffer from not being deep enough because of the deep door bins, and don't even try to put celery in. The flexible temp full width deli draw is nice to have and versatile, but very shallow. The frig is louder than the 12 year old unit it replaced, which is still running strong and now in the basement. Bought this frig to complete our move to stainless appliances and to match our other GE products, and after months of research, but i missed the shelf sizes. At end of day this one got great reviews compared to most counter-depth units, and was a couple cubic feet bigger (which may not be useful space after all). Every other model we looked at had a lot of bad reviews. Heres to hoping it'll last a while and be problem free. In the meantime, it looks good in our kitchen.

We are very happy with this refrigerator. The LED lights are incredibly bright. This is our first counter depth refrigerator, and we were unsure of how comfortable we would be with it, but it actually is a little larger inside than our previous 'fridge, and it is easy to fit and find things.

Very roomy and well designed

We got this refrigerator a month ago to replace a Kitchen Aid French door style. It is a little deeper than standard cabinet depth but well worth the extra inch or two sticking out because the space inside is wonderful. The doors hold a ton of items and the shelving is very easily adjusted to whatever you need. This refrigerator is superior in every way to our old one and I just hope that it lasts!

Great fridge so far

Only had the fridge for 4 months, but so far it's been great. Really quiet. Easy to organize & keep clean. Temperatures remain steady despite frequent door openings. The in-door shelves are adjustable & deep. I can store so many small jars in them, plus two gallons of milk on one side and two gallons of juice on the other. That frees up a ton of space on the fridge shelves for food. If you stack foods in plastic containers, you can pack away a ton of food in this 23 cu. ft. model. Coming from a 29 cu. ft. side by side, I was afraid this fridge wouldn't have enough storage space. But it's designed so well that I haven't missed my old big fridge at all. The freezer holds everything we've thrown at it -- somehow there's always room. The freezer's tilting cubby is quite useful for small items. Ice maker keeps a good supply on hand. The interior water dispenser is a surprise -- easier to use than I thought it would be, dispenses plenty of chilled water (manual says only 12 oz. of chilled water per use, but we can get a whole pitcher of cold water), & the water is, frankly, delicious. No problems with drips. I wasn't expecting to like this fridge -- too small, no in-the-door ice & water, no bells & whistles -- but I'm impressed with its efficiency & performance so far.
