Mountain Home Magic!

We bought this refrigerator for our mountain home remodel! Love the refrigerator being on the top and freezer on the bottom! Love the big open doors, adjustable shelving, excellent lighting, and storage drawers! The freezer works best for us as the ice maker is easy to access and plenty of storage!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Perfection in an appliance

We did a TON of shopping around before we decided on a fridge and I absolutely love our decision. I appreciate the chic design of the non-ice-in-door look, although I do love the easy accessibility of the inside water filter. The LED lighting means we never are short on light, it has plenty of space for all our family needs. I was skeptical on the freezer and thought I wanted more drawers but in fact this has done the job perfectly. You don’t lose that much space in a counter depth fridge if you have a versitile, efficient fridge. This is exactly that! Also, the slate color looks phenomenal and I LOVE not having magnets on the fridge. We haven’t had any problems with it in the 4 months we’ve had it. I would definitely recommend this product for everyone out there reading 1,000,000 reviews like we did! You won’t be sorry!

Love this fridge & I read hours of reviews!

This was one of four GE appliances we bought with our much needed kitchen remodel. We have a smaller kitchen so I decided to get the counter depth fridge which of course is much more expensive than its counterpart but it looks great in our kitchen. I love the slate color since it doesn't show fingerprints. For some unknown reason the sticker was actually on the front of the refrigerator and not on the plastic wrapping so I just bought the residue remover that was recommended and that worked well.
Someone had mentioned that the fridge was loud but I haven't experienced that. I will say that when the ice maker is first making ice it is a bit noisy when it is dropping the ice cubes but that isn't often. It makes plenty of ice as well and like someone else had said in a review you can put your ice packs in between the ice cubes and the compartment next to it.
There seems to be plenty of room for everything we need but there are only 3 of us now; if I still had kids at home or a larger family (5 or more) the regular depth fridge would probably be needed.
Lastly since there were many reviews that had issues with the external ice and water dispenser that too was a reason I chose this fridge. Though not used often I like having the water dispenser on the inside and you can use it with one hand and like another reviewer said leave the glass under the spout for an extra second to catch the drips.

Love the flexibility

We just replaced a 21-year old bottom freezer refrigerator with this GE Profile. The adjustability of the shelves in the door are greatly appreciated to accomodate oversized bottles. The ability to adjust the temperature of the bins between vegetable or fruits, and the separate adjustment for the bin dedicated to beverages was an additional plus. The LED lighting is excellent. (Just have to get used to the colors changing from blue/red to white.
Still getting used to a slide-out freezer compartment. Because of the various sections, I am not sure we get as much in the freezer as we used to, but we are adapting.
Appreciate the dual compressor units that keep smells from migrating from refrigerator to the freezer. Yet, energy usage is much lower than our old refrigerator.

Replacement of side by side refrigerator

Everything works great, controls are simple, slate color is nice. The dogs can walk by with doors open now. Minor finishing touches can only be spotted after using refrigerator. The doors do not align at top even after following instructions to do so. The wheels do not lock. Little pieces of protective covering plastic are difficult to remove. Egg shelf is too small for egg carton.

This is a great refrigerator

We really love this refrigerator. Since it is counter depth, it doesn't stick our into the kitchen as far as our earlier refrigerator. We find the temperature controls easy to use and provide an excellent selection of settings for the refrigerator and freezer compartments. The separate controls for the drawers makes it easy to set the temps in each appropriately for what we have stored in them.

GE Cafe only lasted 6 years!

The GE Cafe wasn't a bad experience but it only lasted 6 years and wasn't worth fixing according to the repair team. Off to the junkyard, which is sad and expensive.
