THIS PRINTER IS REASONABLY FAST AND HAS GOOD PRINT QUALITY.
THE ABILITY TO PRINT DIRECTLY ON CD'S IS ANOTHER BONUS

Adequate

This is an adequate All-In-One - prints relatively quickly but print quality is only OK; color generally good, blacks tend to be more dark grey than crisp black. Set up was a bit non-intuitive compared to other printers I have used - especially the wireless option. Envelope printing awkward and unsatisfactory. Scanning works well but should come with an OCR program for maximum usability.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Software is less than great

I purchased this printer for the wireless connections and experience with previous brother printers. I have multiple computers and I needed a central point for printing. Win 7 drivers and SW worked fine, Win XP software wouldn't install and I never could see the printer. The BRadmin tool saw the printer fine on the same machine, but I can't print to it with the XP machine. I tried til I was frustrated. FAQ's were no help, nor email requests for help. Printing from my tablet works fine, but no brother drivers involved there. But I still like the printer. The plastic parts are a little cheesy but if your gentle they'll last.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought a Kodak last year and was not happy with it.I replaced it with Brother and I am impressed with it.

Ran out of initial ink within 2 weeks.
Purchased all new. Black cartridge bad. E-mailed Brother asking how get replacement. Totally ignored. Will purchase compatible ink from now on.

Great Printer

I just installed my new printer on a wireless network. This printer replaces a Brother’s printer I've had for years (DCP-110C), which has worked very well for me. I needed a new printer with wireless connectivity. Once configured, the setup feature allows you to test the printer using supplied glossy photo paper. The print looks great. I believe this printer is a great value with a very reasonable price. The installation and configuration on Windows Visa using the supplied CD takes a little time, but worked without issue. I recommend this printer.
