I purchased one printer that failed after 3 months.I had to exchange printer thinking it was a defect.The new same printer also had the same problem as the first after 2 or 3 months usage. I had to exchange it for a different brand .
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good Machine

The machine was very easy to set up and use but I have NOT been able to set it up to work "wireless" with my laptop...I've tried everything to no avail, so for that, I give this machine two stars.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Better than the last one

This is so much better thaan the older 625, BUT in some ways it is worse. The color is not as good, the black is not as black, it will not pick up highlighting very well. The screen is super, the speed is excellent, the paper tray is much more solid. The noise is terrible and worst of all, it is like a cat. It cleans itself after every job, which can mean every page if you are not fast enough with the next page. Overall I like it. I used to dislike Brother, but this is the third machine I have had in 14 years and it is the best, up to now.
I would recommend this to a friend!

after printing the time it takes to be able to print again is to long the old brother all in one was much faster. when you first set up the machine instructions are confusing or not there

The machine is fine. I miss the functions of my MFC 990 CW. This one is a replacement suppose to be an upgrade. Well, it isn't. There is no hand set which, Brother removed from their unit's. This is a mistake I think.

since 1997 this is the 5th. printer i have purchased. I was living on my boat and purchased a used printer, that lasted 3 years.the humidity just ate it up. Then in Janurary 2000 we moved ashore and replaced all furnishings. We experienced the same frequency of computer and axillary components of abount the same amount of time. the one i replaced with the Brother lasted one year or less.
I would recommend this to a friend!
