Major issues - The Pre-Packaded Software does not work - Can't print any-thing from the Net, Google etc.
Spent a-lot of time with "Brother Tech Support" on the phone - They responded with an e-mail
Can't print out the e-mail - printer will not respond
Tried getting into the "Brother" system for a Software down load - Major issue there - I could not get in

Probably Made a Mistake

I bought the printer based on product reviews, price and features. Where to start? The paper feed tray is cheaply made and hard to use. I can't scan to my connected computers. The only scan feature I have been able to make work is to a thumb drive in a USB port. Haven't tried to fax yet. Print quality is pretty good. Color photo quality is fair. It was relatively easy to set up, but then I haven't been able to make everything work properly after several months. I am only a casual user so I can make do. I wish I had bought a different brand.

I bought this last month and I have an issue with printing more than 1 page. If I wanted to print 10 pages it still only prints one.I haven't called Customer Service yet but overall not a bad printer.

I really like the Brother Printer; but the ink does not seem to last any time at all; so it becomes very expensive to use.

Many of the features in my new MFC-J825DW are good. For example, ink saver obviously reduces ink use. Automatic duplex is a feature I've wanted in a printer for a long time and it works well. What bugs me most is its inability to print return addresses on envelopes. According to tech support, I must invest in Microsoft Word to do so because none of the programs on my computer are compatible enough with the printer to accommodate this simple task. Still not sure why. Bottom line: if someone wants a good, general printer, this is one to consider among many others. If, on the other hand, you do a lot of mailed correspondence, find one friendlier for printing envelopes.

The primary reason I purchased this printer is for printing jewel case labels & printing on printable CDs/DVDs ... It is very unfortunate that, in order to print on printable CDs/DVDs, one must use a 3rd-party software provided by Brother instead of it being integrated into the printer's software or firmware -- since the printer is physically set up to print on CDs/DVDs ... Also, the 3rd-party software provided requires way the pushing of way too many buttons to print a CD/DVD .....

This machine set up easily but it is very hard to use as no manual came with it and you have to find it online which is very difficult to use also. The scanner is also very hard to use and you can not find much in the manual as to how to operate it. I have tried numerous times to adjust the size of my scanner item and print it and thus far no success, it seems to be locked in small no matter what size I tell it I want !

I have problems with this printer missing digits in the upper right hand corner everytime I print. Called Brother for tech support and they say nothing is wrong with it, that it is my computer printing from webpages. WHATEVER!!!!! I would not recommend to buy, very slow. I did everything possible to correct it but still not correct.
