Worse Purchase Ever

I acquired this printer mainly for its color function. I like to print greeting cards for friends and relatives. Also I print my business cards. The colors are of poor quality. They are not clear, bright or even true to color. The envelope print function is impossible for greeting card sizes. The corner of the envelope gets coated with black ink. The ink cartridges do not last very long.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very good product for the price

This mult-fuction printer has worked very well over the past year, however I had to have the scanner replaced, and the other draw-back is it is very noisy.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Excellent investment

I recently acquired an IPad and IPhone and wanted to be able to print from these devices as well as my laptop. Subsequent to reviewing several printers, I decided on this machine because of the positive reviews and the Brother name.
I am very delighted. The printer was easy to install and setup. The quality of the printing is excellent and the speed is more than adequate for the non business user. Great job Brother!!

Great product

I haven't had the printer for very long, but it sure has some great features -- it's quick to respond, hasn't had any problems so far (had it a few months now), love the wireless capability, LOVE the duplex capability (especially since I used to spend SO much time manually duplexing pages!) Plus it was a great price!

Excellent MFC-J825DW

Easy wireless setup, robust feature set. Touch screen access to settings and Web apps a plus. Adequate speed for the price, but nowhere near the specs. I forgive them due to this being such a solid performer. The ADF and built-in duplex printing are perfect for today's consumer. Ink seems not too expensive, as well, and I like that it offers the option of 600-page yield ink cartridges. What a great feature is the ability to print directly onto printable CDs and DVDs! Nothing bad here at all. Highly recommended. Nice job Brother, as usual. I think their printers are the most reliable, best performing for the money, with nothing to compare from other makers for the price and with these features and this level of performance. I WILL buy another Brother printer when needed.

Almost satisfied

One bad thing about my MFC-J825DW is I can't scan to e-mail bacause I use Yahoo mail and brother will not connect to this. My other MFC-420CN wouldn't do it either.It's a nice printer faxer ; but I can't scan something and send it because I don't want to change to outlook express or other one that they recognize.If I would have known this I probably would NOT have bought it .
