I first bought one J825MFC in 2012 for small business office. Performed very well with/without wireless. I bought my second J825MFC in early 2013 to carry in my car on vacation to print out work in my cabin. Quality is excellent in printing, and especially Brother Phone Support when I needed it on a couple of problems I didn't know how to fix. The problems were my fault and they were resolved by the staff in very little time ! Hightest rating

The "All -in-one/Multi-Function machine is great one if it gets installed properly. I had some problems with it because I am on a communications server for Internet, telephone service, TV, DVR, and Wireless Home Networking. So I had a problem sending and getting faxes (because I had that set up incorrectly). It was not the machines fault.
Once it got set up correctly (with Brother help) it works very well.

At first I was THRILLED! I never had a Brother printer before....only HP and I got tired of replacing them every year. The Brother was quieter and faster. Particularly the scanning 20 page Real Estate Contracts was much faster than any previous HP model. I am using Brother ink. I have lost the Black ink quality now 3 times. Every time I go thorough the cleaning printer head routine, it does print in black again, but it is an inconvenience and wastes time and ink. Now the scanner is grabbing more than one page at a time and the only way I can get a Real Estate Contract scanned and emailed is by scanning ONE page at a time. Craziness. Lastly, and this is very minor, but still annoying, the ink levels show very low indicating replacing the cartridges but it keeps printing just fine.

So far, I have been unable to receive phone calls as the FAX will not allow the answering machine to record because it is located in a different room.
I also attempted to print a 4x6 photo using the correct size and I receive "wrong size paper", even though the photo paper is that size.

At one time I was highly enthusiastic about these machines. (I have 2 of them) The printer is reasonably responsible however, I am quite concerned that the disc printing feature is no longer acceptable. The discs are printing in a very, very faded manner. I have followed all of the instructions to the letter and the printable discs continue to be very faded and in most cases barely to poorly colored. The black is somewhat acceptable, but that is all that I can say for it. Also, at times the unit 'floods' the entire disc surface for no reason at all. I have 2 of these printers and both of them operate the same. I use ONLY Brother ink in them. Also, from time to time the units go 'offline' for no reason at all and I have to reinstall the software to get them operating again or mess around with the existing installation and restart the computer to get them to print again. The scanner works very well, however. I use each of them connected UHF rather than WiFi, 1 in Colorado and 1 in Kansas, I think their footprint is great, their screen is readable, however a bit hard to read for older eyes, but that is not the fault of the machine. The biggest complaint is that I cannot crank up the output of the ink to the discs. I have been told that there is a used ink container hidden away somewhere in here but I cannot find it or see it. The units clean themselves but there does not seem to be any improvement as a consequence of that feature. All the dots are there BEFORE and AFTER the cleaning. These are my 4th and 5th Brother product so I am not new to Brother but I certainly have a problem with these two machines.

All the great features with which I have become accustomed. I don't even miss the telephone handset. I am so happy to have automatic 2-sided print BUT I would be more appreciative if I could set it as the default print mode.
