second time with the death black screen

we've buy this tvs in december 26 and a months later first time with the black screen and we return it they change the tv for a new one then 2 months later a another time this tv is broken . just don't buy this tv.
Pros: future shop

good HD picture

the picture is great in HD, but non-HD programs do not look good. also, the screen is too bright. if there is a way to adjust it, i havent found it, since when you click 'menu' it only gives you a limited number of options which i have not found useful

42LV4400 LG TV

Fuzzy picture until the HD reciever was installed. The built-in speakers are weak and tinny sounding. Installed sound bar and woofer. Should not have to buy add-ons to watch and listen to a TV. Otherwise since the fixes, it is OK.
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Like the TV but have a real problem with hearing tv because the sound comes out the rear of unit.Even at 100% it still is hard to hear.It is not wall mounted. This is a real problem for my wife and I. And we might return it. Its 2 weeks old.Dissapointed
Pros: easy to use

HDMI ports all burnt out

Worst speakers I have ever heard on a TV. Made the adjustments recommended by support, had the cable tv people check our service, nothing wrong. Had to attach external speakers. Horrible tinny sound.

This is my first LG and purchased it because of the great price. The image quality is great and easy to use. My only problem is the sound quality. I don't know if this is because the speakers are pointing down but I have to really raise the volume up in order to hear the sound at a clear aubilble level. I don't have any hearing issues (tested 6 months ago) but I have to use my home theater speakers in order to watch regular shows which I only like using on movies. I never thought to consider position of the TV's speakers but I will definitely consider it on my next purchase in about 3 months.

TV Broke in 3 Months

Don't bother. The value and picture are great, but why purchase a TV that fails to turn on after 3 months of light use? It has also taken LG 2+ weeks to repair the thing. Waste of time and money, will never buy an LG product ever again.
