Buyer Beware

Purchased TV on Jan.12, 2012 and it was fine until Feb. 18, 2012. The TV wouldn't turn on and the 30 day return policy was up. I purchased the TV because of it's low power consumption, which was great for an "off grid" residence. It's now Feb.29 and the authorized repair shop can't seem to locate a replacement part. There was a known design flaw and LG could have avoided a public relations mess by acting quickly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Originally chose this LED backlit TV expecting it to last longer than the standard backlit models. But as other have remarked, this model is prone to dying because of power supply issues. So, right now I have a dead TV after only 14 months of use. I have owned many others and this is the only one I have that is experiencing this kind of problem. Very bad, KEEP AWAY!!! Save your money and buy something else.
Pros: died

I have had two of these tvs fail on me in 4-months

First tv failed after two months, exchanged it for a ne one then the second tv failed two months later.
Both tvs just randomly failed to turn on for no apparent reason.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

it won't turn on, LG's third party repair companies have the parts on back order for weeks. don't understand why nothing is being done about this. believe the one star reviews!

I am very unhappy with this TV

I have had this TV less than 2 months and it is not working. The company is sending out a repair tech on Monday but that isn't the point. I should not have to have it repaired when it is less than 2 months old. Very unhappy and would not purchase an LG in the future.

Does absolutely everything i could want it to do. Awesome picture great high depth gaming and brightest picture i have ever seen. I have never experienced good TV until i purchased this product!!

The picture right out of the box was outstanding, no adjustments were needed. Sound quality was tolerable for the value. The picture was so bright, the colors were outstanding..

what you see at the store, you can have at home

Often, what a tv looks like at the store, is not what you see when you get it home. This LG surpassed my picture quality expectations for the close out price. Yes, even the standard audio sounds very decent, even though the total volume capability seems weak. So far after a month's worth of chronic viewing, I'd have to say it's an outstanding value for the limited features (mainly no 3-D, no built in internet or wifi).
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality
I would recommend this to a friend!
