Sharp-looking but not very effective vent-wise.

Cons: Little loud. Clunky On/Off switches. Vent really doesn't vent well. Filter/Grill replacement parts are absurdly expensive.

Runs hot with light

Very poor lighting also gets very hot when light is on. Terrible design flaw want to take out and replace with something else

sleek and quiet

Effective and simple to operate.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This hood has been in daily operation for one week. It seems to be as effective as it can be in a recirculating mode because we have no outside venting options. Unfortunately, we do not have charcoal filters (which are VERY expensive, e.g., $79-99.00 each-2 required) so strong food smells are not diminished before being returned to the environment outside of the hood. It does seem to be a bit loud, even at the lowest of three suction settings. As well, there is only one setting (high) for the dual light bulbs, which radiate an unexpected amount of heat to the top of the hood, though there does not seem to be any negative effect other than the top of the hood becoming unusually hot.
