Plastic knob panel??

We've had this range for a few years now, and granted it has worked very well. The only drawback is that the panel where the knobs sit is plastic. How are you going to sell a range with plastic so close to the ceramic cooktop! The cookware is merely millimeters away from it and the plastic melts. Very very poor design flaw. I had to touch up the plastic with a sharpie marker so the white plastic underneath the black paint wouldn't be such an eye sore.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Like the look

Made a mistake by purchasing on looks alone. Seems to work well but it has a very noisy fan that comes on when you heat up the oven and stays on for 30 minutes after turning it off, There must be some thing wrong with mine Frigidaire would not design an airplane engine into their ovens. I USED IT ONCE AND WISHED I COULD RETURN IT!

HATE IT!!!!!!!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this range 2 years ago and I absolutely HATE it!!!!!!!! The range top looks like it is 20 years old. The main cooktop that I use has white circles all over it where it looks like the paint has worn off. This exact same thing happened to the first cook top and we had it replaced. It has now happened to the second cook top. I would NEVER recommend this range to anybody!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought in January but didn't have it installed until March. Worked for two weeks then stopped working. Repair man had to come twice to get it fixed!
When using today placed a pan on the edge of the top and it is plastic and burned it and turned it white!!!

Jbdigra, I regret that your range needed service so soon and unexpectedly, but am happy it was taken care of under your warranty coverage. I am dismayed to hear the plastic you placed on the cooking surface has turned it white. Plastic or foods with a high sugar content need be removed immediately if spilled or melted onto the ceramic cooktop surface. Permanent damage (such as pitting of the cooktop surface) may occur if not removed immediately Please see page 47 and 48 of your Owner’s Manual for cleaning directions. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We would prefer a gas stove, but since we don't have access to gas in our development, we must use electric. But for an electric model, it is better than average. One issue, however, is the front edge, where the black finish is wearing away and showing white.

Cooks even and fast!
